US citizen living in Brazil

Hello, I am new here. I will give you guys my background and I have many questions… I was born in the US and I lived there until I was 13. I finished ¨6th grade and then me and my family moved to Brazil. Here I finished what would be equivilent to US “highschool” and I am starting Business University here. I plan to do a Business Major in the US… My questions are:

  1. Do I have to take the TOEFL test?
  2. Would I have to take a GED?
  3. Would my admission to any MBA be different than any other US student?

Thanks to anyone who answers!

You probably don’t need TOEFL as you are still considered domestic.

You don’t need to take GED if you graduated in BRL.

MBA, you mean after Uni in Brazil? It shouldn’t be different. Some MBA programs require work after UNI tho.

Wow, thanks!!! I didn’t think anyone would answer…

Yes, I would like to do an MBA after Uni in Brazil! I’ll look into that, thank you again!

I would just mention that most of the top MBA programs in the US are looking for applicants who have had about 2-5 years of significant work experience. If you want to get a MBA directly after your undergraduate work your options might be more limited.

Not directly after, but sometime after  Thanks!!!

I believe as long as you’re a US citizen, you should just be able to do the normal US application stuff.

Eu sou “meio-Brasileiro,” você fala português? Onde você mora?

Sim, falo! Minas Gerais, e vocÊ?!
