RML every time you post you embarrass yourself.

^ Really? Now answer my question. Is Rihga Royal Kokura Kyushu prestigious?

Again, I’m trying to make a point.

No, you are just embarrassing yourself. Just try and get back to the discussion.

Why must you hijack every single thread with your drivel?

the_prestige, I know you won’t answer my question because you know you’re going to fall into a trap. You must have realised it by now that your idea about “prestige” is, all the while, WRONG.

And, in case you’re lost. The topic has evolved a bit and has shifted to the meaning of prestige. In my opinion, that should have been defined in the beginning of the discussion.

RML, why not get back to discussing the original topic? Is it because you have nothing to offer except “Cal is the best thing since sliced bread”?

Yeah, I can see how that can get very old, very quickly.

thePrestige, the irony of your statements is that you’ve mentioned Cal many more times than I have. I see you ALWAYS mention Cal or Berkeley every time you see threads where I post.

Re Berkeley, I have no personal affiliation with the school. I never went there. In fact, I’m free to admit it that I wasn’t even accepted there. Thus there is no honor for me for Berkeley’s achievements. I am only using it (sometimes Michigan too) to prove a point. Again, to prove a point. The problem is, your lack of comprehension (or whatever it is with you) has swayed you to believe wrongly on my motives… Berkeley is the easiest school that I can use as example to prove a point that certain issues and claims are biased towards PRIVATE schools. In the same way that I don’t hate Emory. But it’s the easiest example to use to test and prove (or disprove) certain claims.

Now, going back to the topic re PRESTIGE.

As I’ve mentioned, prestige is a relative thing. What seems to be prestigious to you may not be for other people. Because I’m familiar with Rihga Royal Kokura Kyushu, I can honestly say that it is a prestigious hotel in Japan. I bet many affluent Japanese think it is a prestigious hotel too. But since you, the_prestige, haven’t heard of it, you don’t think it is prestigious, correct? For how is a particular thing prestigious to you when you even don’t know what it is, or even haven’t heard of it in all your life??? Correct?

Another issue here is that, when you’re not successful defending your argument, you resort to ad hominem (personal) attacks. Your statements always assume that you know everything, and that everyone MUST believe everything you’ll say. You don’t know how to respect other people’s opinions. If you, the_prestige, knows how to respect other people’s opinions, I bet the world would be a much better place to live in. But then again, nobody is perfect.

^^^ that explained absolutely nothing.

as for personal attacks, give me a break – your hypocrisy knows no bounds. you are the one who always engages in this first, i am merely responding.

^ Then review this thread and see for yourself who first attack who.

RML, why can’t you just get back to discussing the thread instead of insisting on engaging in a personal argument with me?

Is that so difficult? I refuse to engage in this any further.

Thank you. I kind of expected that you’d say that anyways … again.
