US Gov AP

How long does it take to study this subject fully (PR)?

lol....hopefull 1 week...lol

You're only going to use a review book?

I'm taking the course, and there's a lot of stuff to remember. It makes APUSH look easy....I don't think you can study everything in a week, unless you get absolutely no homework and can devote all your free time studying.

The APUSG statistics are pretty ugly....I'm not looking forward to May 7th.

I think you can study everything in a week (maybe even less) if you've applied yourself well throughout the year.

I'm reading the notes from that one link that I posted a while back. Hopefully that's enough to get a 5.

Would you mind pointing me towards that link? I'm looking for some notes as well =] thanks so much!

I just took the Sparknotes diagnostic test for AP Government... and they said based off how I did on the multiple choice section I should get a 3. I'm feeling confident that I can easily pull that 3 up to a 4 or 5 with the time I have left to study. I just bought the Cliff Notes review book, so I should be fine.

Also, I am taking the course right now... but I forgot a lot of the stuff that we learned earlier in the year... that's why I'm feeling confident that I'll easily be able to raise my score if I study the review book. If you haven't even taken the course it's probably gonna take you a little while longer to prepare...

"It makes APUSH look easy"

hahahaha, riiiiiiiiiight.

APUSH was so frikkin hard, AP gov was the easiest class Ive ever taken, and I got a 4 on the diagnostic test, which will work for me.

lol christalena..i feel that...APUSH was beot**....

Perhaps in your case. I'm taking both classes.

With APUSH, we had the whole year to study...plenty of time. We finished the book two weeks ago and have been doing review up to this point. I don't feel the questions are terribly hard, but maybe it's because I have had time to read my textbook throughout the year.

APUSG is an entirely different story. We only take the class for half a year. If there was an American Govt Honors the first semester, maybe I wouldn't be so angry right now. We have 6 or so chapters left in the book. The AP exam is about two weeks from now. We won't have any time to review. The book we use, Government by the People, has extremely long and painful-to-read chapters. I haven't opened a page of that book to study. I simply do not have the time. Right now all I can do is pray that Princeton Review will do me good. Basically, it's too much for me to remember in such a small amount of time. It sucks that the APUSG exam is the first exam (May 7th). So many teachers are throwing work at me, that I don't have time to study. I'll probably cancel my score - at least I didn't have to pay for the exam.

I took it for a semester as well and read every single chapter, every dang word.

But I guess it depends on the person as well. Everyone here says Ap macroecon is very easy, but in my opinion, was one of my hardest classes ever.

I'm not much of a social studies person. I don't enjoy really enjoy it, and it's annoying to learn - for me. But I do know a couple of people that really enjoy history and government and such - they'll be the ones getting 5's. They put time and effort into it....I don't. :D

Macroeconomics is SOOO hard.

im in comp gov now...ap us gov was first sem....i like remember nothing lol....ap comp gov is something worse lol

"Macroeconomics is SOOO hard."

FINALLY somebody agrees with me! Thanks!

it's actually like FREKAING hard

congrats on the first 1,000 posts =]
