I have been studying in the US for one year on a study abroad business program run in Britain. I have completed two years of my law degree there. This study abroad program is for a years study in the US on which a certificate is the award, it does not count for credit in my law degree. I did not meet the requirements of the program and got below a 3.0 which was the necessary level to pass and thus this will go on my academic record. I am just curious as to how this will affect my chances if I want to apply for grad school in the US? My basis for my education is a law degree in the UK and thus in essence my study abroad program has nothing to do with this. Is it likely that I may only have to disclose my grades from my law degree and just have this year in the US as apart of my resume?

Also I was wondering what are the chances of dropping a class off my transcript over here? I require certain credit and thus If i dropped a class from my transcript I would have the credit to pass the program. I am in a unique situation, I dont want the last year to be a waste since I completed it. Finally is it possible to use extinuating circumstances as an excuse for a poor grade? Can extra credit be done to raise a grade after a class is complete? I was thinking considering my unique situation that my college would show some sympathy towards my situation, I just hope this experience doesnt cost my chances, it has given me so much confidence and vision, yet I dont want it to be to no avail.
