Us Hist / Act

I was planning on self-studying for US History AP. All my school has is regulars. Which book is the best STUDY GUIDE/REVIEW (like a textbook that is concise on the material)? Should I study for the ACT, which I haven't taken, or the US History? I know I'm going to take both, but which should I study first, even though the ACT is coming up in December (I know the answer seems obvious)?

AMSCO's book is hands down the best for APUSH. It reads somewhat like a textbook, but it's concise and clear in the way it provides info. And let me tell you, it has EVERYTHING you'll need for the AP exam.

Which is better: AMSCO or REA?
