US History Books for International students

Hi everyone! I intend to take SAT II US History in several months. As an international student, I have not known much about US History, so basically I have scanty firsthand knowledge. Yet I find this very interesting and decide to pursue it.

Is there any chance that I just self-study US History and earn a score of 700+ in several months, providing that I study intensively everyday? I mean, should I take it this June or better be October if I've just finished 'The colonial period'?

Btw I have United States History | Preparing for the Advanced Placement Examination published by Amsco 2010 version & Sparknotes. Is the information alone in these two alone enough for me to earn 700+? I've heard about the prestige of REA and Crashcourse but unfortunately it's realll hard to procure those in my country. Any other books for information review if necessary? Barron? (This one contains far more information than do the above-mentioned -- I'm not sure if this superfluous amount is necessary for the real test). And what about books for practice tests?

I'm looking forward for your responses!

If possible, where can I get Crashcourse the soft copy online?

read the AMSCO book really well, and then read Direct Hits, its concise and really usefull. If you read this two books well and give practise test from kaplan or other online practise tests then you can score 800. But read AMSCO and direct hits really well.

Oh thank you amyharvard that does help me a lot! I appreciate your response.
