US History or Literature

So, I'm taking the SAT IIs on Saturday (big surprise). I'm taking World History and Chemistry for sure, but am having issues with the third test. I got a 790 and 800 on my sittings of the SAT CR section, and a 790 on my last sitting of the writing. Literature would seem a natural choice. However, I've been working my way through the Barron's book and find myself getting shamefully low scores (raw scores in the 30s) and incredibly frustrated with the test. Naturally, I'm looking elsewhere.

I'm considering taking the US History test instead. I took AP US History in 2008-09, and got a 5 on the test, and I consider myself much stronger when it comes to history. My concern, however, is that taking US History will not show enough variety between WH and Chem if I should choose to apply to a school that takes three tests, and that it would be a bad idea to switch my course of study now. Are my concerns justified, and should I stick with literature, or should I bail out to US History?

I am having the same issues with literature! The Barrons Book seems harder than the real thing, but I don’t know for sure. I have been in honors and AP language arts, and the Lit was, to put it blatantly, difficult. I am bailing out of lit for sure, but I don think you can bail and switch at the location. if that is what you are suggesting. I took AP World 2008-09, and i very rusty, but as long as you review a bit of US I think you will be fine.
