<p>Is reading through the Kaplan book good enough? Or should I get a Barrons one too?</p>
<p>Kaplan isn't enough imo. </p>
<p>It was the first book I got and theres some missing info. Its a good review book though. The best way to do well is to do the practice tests and review all of em imo.</p>
<p>Definitely get AMSCO. The general consensus is that it's the best and I agree with that for sure. The information, the presentation, the content, the practice, Kaplan does not even compare to AMSCO in those regards. I have looked through Kaplan and found it to be utterly inadequate. Now Barrons, their practice tests are absolutely ridiculous. To say that they're too hard would be the biggest understatement ever. I got more than 250 points higher on the actual SATII than my score from barrons practice test. And the content, it's way to focused on political trends, whereas for the actual test, you need to know social history, which Barrons lacks. AMSCO's perfect for this.</p>
<p>AMSCO is a great review book if you have the time to read it/read it to study for the AP. I think it's overkill for the SAT II. Barrons would probably be sufficient.</p>
<p>AMSCO is great. Barron's is alright for the review content but the practice tests are horrid. I was missing 30-35 questions on each Barron's practice test and I ended up getting a 800 on the real thing.</p>

<p>You want something that is specific and has a lot of facts. I'm sorry, but Kaplan isn't that. Kaplan is horrible. If you want to do badly, then read that. I used REA and got a 770 on the SAT 2 and a 5 on the Ap Exam. From what people have said about AMSCO on this site, I'm sure it'll work as well.</p>
