US History SAT II scores???

dammit i got 760 i was really expecting an 800 after acing the AP test

Sparknotes is somewhat tougher than the actual SAT II, I thought. But it prepared me well, at least 3 questions were similarly worded and I got a 760-mostly due to dumb mistakes and being overly confident :P

On a sidenote, I also used McGraw Hills Steps To A 5 for AP U.S. History. I think it’s highly underrated, but it prepared me well by giving me the highlights of U.S. History. I realize people say use Barron’s but it does no justice. It’s hard, strangely worded, and only tests obscure facts.

I’m kinda disappointed although I haven’t taken US history for 2 years.

720!!! yay!

720, not surprised. I’m definitely happy with my score though. Had a mediocre APUSH class (used American Pageant), crammed a lot for the AP exam with Princeton Review, and read through Crash Course for this exam. I probably could’ve studied more, but I’m happy overall. Anyway I’m pretty sure I’m not even going to submit SAT…

I’m not too enthusiastic about it, but i’ll still accept it. I didn’t study too much, my fault. Oh and I took APUSH.
I used Sparknotes and AMSCO the night before. Sparknotes is where i got the free tests from–i didn’t buy a prep book. Anyway, I took a practice test and got 640-680. Sparknotes focused a lot on trends. The actual test had a lot of random questions. Like who picks the attorney general.

Wow, this thread is OLD.

barrons sucks. switch books now!

I got a 720. Pretty good, considering that I never got around to reviewing for it. Perhaps if I had read through Crash Course in the days before, I probably would have scored higher, like maybe a 750+.

Lol barrons makes me feel horrible about my abilities.

This thread is 4 years old. xD

But I got a 790, yay. :)

Haha old thread, realized that when I saw a post by Oasis.

I got an 800 though!

770!!

studied AMSCO for APUSH and carried that knowledge over, along with some Barron’s prep

haha I just got a 680. My best subject test score out of three. I was feeling pretty good about it…

680 (<—MUST BE A MISTAKE D8 )- Although I’m betting a 5 on the AP test

Ruined my 800 streak ):<

770  (used REA crash course)

800, amsco prep for AP

nearly everyone here recommends AMSCO…but i live in China and i can’t find it anywhere…we only have princeton kaplan and barrons …frustrated…

So I got a 790, but USH was the test I felt most comfortable on, and my examination of the answers thread seemed to indicate that I was well into the 800 range, so I’m kind disappointed.

@Eiswein: You could try ordering AMSCO off of Amazon.com if you can’t find it in local bookstores.
