Do you think it is possible for me to get an 800 on the US History Subject test if I read AMSCO, The Essential Content and an American History textbook along with the cb released exams or should I take the exam after a honors US History class for one year? Thanks.

bump… bump…

It depends have you taken APUSH or are you taking it this upcoming year. I got an 800 last year on the june test by simply just taking APUSH and preparing for the AP test in may.

i took academic US History instead of APUSH, read nothing but the Essential Content, and am scoring 750 on the Sparknotes US History test. I think I’ll be able to get an 800 on the test with a bit more studying, so you should be able to as well.

Totally. From my experience, it really doesn’t matter whether or not you need to enroll in APUS to do well on SAT II. I self-study too and get an easy 770. Good Luck!

Yeah, just do A LOT of practice questions. I self studied too, and got a 790.
