<p>For those of you who took the US History Subject test already, which textbook did you use?</p>
<p>I used Brinkley.</p>
<p>The American Pageant, I think it’s standard for most AP courses.</p>
<p>Seconding the American Pageant. It’s not as comprehensive and detailed as some of the other textbooks, which turned me off at first, but it’s perfectly suited for College Board tests because it focuses on the events and people that really matter as far as the test is concerned, and its variously successful attempts at “wit” and “humor” have the effect of helping you remember what you’ve read even months after you’ve read it.</p>
