US History

Planning on taking the US History subject test in June. Is it unreasonable to plan on getting an 800 if I start to studying in late April for 30ish minutes every other night or so with AMSCO? I'm in APUSH and am good at history. The subject test will only be a few weeks after the AP exam and my final exam in the class.

It definitely is unreasonable! you want an 800?

  • Don’t start in April, start in May and clear out 2 weeks out of your schedule. Tell yourself that you don’t have any job or work, just studying for the test. Study for 4-6 hrs each day (different topics), revise them other day and study something new after that,
Just be sure to cover the material in depth, there’s no tips, tricks or strategies for SAT II apart from knowing the material well. Best of Luck.
NOTE : This strategy may not work if you can’t focus on a topic/subject for too long and would rather finish the material in installments. AS far as I’m concerned, I’m plain lazy, I’m not determined enough to hammer continuously on something for 2 months for an exam that just lasts an hour.

It’s fine. I’m in APUSH and I’m also taking it in June, I’m just going to study for the subject test after I take the ap exam.

What kids don’t realize is that SAT II is an objective test, no structure type essay questions, so no scope for bluffing as in AP.
Good Luck, both of you!
