True. The girl must have been 16 then if all charges were dropped (assuming everything was handled fairly).

I guess everybody on these threads tends to forget about "innocent until proven guilty."
The authorities seem to think there was not enough evidence to charge the kid w/ rape .. . disregarding this fact, it seems that some would just as soon assume they know better than those who have full knowledge of available facts.

The party has not happened. You want to report the "possibility" that this party "might" happen and that an applicant "might" attend to the USNA?
I can understand reporting tot he police that you have heard of this rumor but what exactly do you want USNA to do?

Very encouraging that this kind of witch hunt would take place.

Gotta agree. And based on third or fourth hand hearsay at best. Prouddad, do yourself a favor and drop it.

This OP is BS and a lot of conjecture and speculation. If the OP would take a chance and look in the mirror tomorrow that person would not need advice from a blog to consider what was right or wrong for the situation. I don't need advice from a blog to tell me what my conscience should decide. I agree with USNA69. Drop it, unless you can provide more pertinent information.

Maybe its just me, but it sure seems like regardless of whether it was rape or consensual, the fact that alcohol was a factor should cast some light on the character of the guy... probably not the greatest leadership material if he's drinking under age.

edit: I just realized I somehow missed the posts that already addressed this... not sure how that happened. Sorry for the repeated opinion!
