HAhahahah

".................................. Sorry USC you didnt make the list"
i didnt think berkeley would be ranked so low but you're right, it's probably because they're a public institution

There have been less posts this year because the rankings have been more consistent than past years.

There have been less posts this year because the rankings have been more consistent than past years. There is not much to discuss, as many of the controversial issues of the US News rankings this year would have already been discussed last year.

Nah, it's because Berkeley is very overrated, especially in California.

very overrated? you got to be joking me.

berkeley is ranked "so low" because these rankings are largely based off of alumni donations and amount of "high school students wanting to go there" as well as academics. these systems, in very large part, are very flawed.

Don't take tasty beef seriously he is joking around and he himself goes to Berkeley.

or mayB its cuz he goes to berkeley that he thinks its over rated.
i know many transfers that think berkeley is over rated after attending there
but so far, well strictly my opinion, cal kicks ass ^ - ^

berkeley is over rated.

Edit: probably just saying that because i went to UCLA.

Nah, if anything, it's underrated. A long time ago, Berkeley used to be on top, comparable to Ivy's. Now that the rankings use endowment and alumi donations, Berkeley's ranking is significantly lower.

I don't know if Berkeley is overrated or not. I will give my opinion once I get my acceptance/rejection notice! :P

UCLA>Berkley

Cal >> UCLA

Plus, i wouldn't judge a school if i couldn't even spell its name.

although you probably just posted that whole thing as a joke.

Informative topic but the stats never really change. Personally I never looked at college rankings, I just drove to the schools and went around the campus to get a sense of what it would feel like to be going there...UCLA did the trick for me.

beardy- thats how i picked UCLA too. I ended up there on a community college trip to the Getty center and was in LOVE. And i saw Berkeley back in the day about 5 years b4 that and never ever had that "feeling" that the UCLA campus gave me. I went back to Cal two years ago when i was in Napa and I was so happy i went to UCLA. The feel one gets from CAL is not that of UCLA, i am just talking about the glorious awe inspiring campus vibe- UCLA has that down both with architecture and just the people and all- CAL is icky.

hell na... nothing bears memorial glade <3

this ought to settle the dispute of who is better between ucla and cal

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c120/sonofwestwood2002/cal-cheer.jpg

need more?

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c120/sonofwestwood2002/cal-trophies.jpg

still not enough for you?

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c120/sonofwestwood2002/cal-environ.jpg

'nuff said. i rest my case.

cal vs la again.. both are overrated becuz both are under top 20th...
which is bad.... UC has to bring it up strong!!! and make it to top 10!!!!!!!!!!

chibi_loopi i love those pics. More props to you.

adding to the worthless thread/argument

cal owns.
