US NEWS 2013 Ranking Predictions

1) Princeton
2) Harvard
3) Yale
4) Stanford
5) MIT/Caltech
7) Columbia
8) Duke/Penn
9) Chicago/Dartmouth
11) Cornell
12) Brown
13) Northwestern
14) JHU
15) WUSTL

Does anyone agree?
If not please provide alternative lists.

Your ranking sounds random. Penn will not fall that far and Cornell/Brown will still remain closer to 15. Most high schoolers always overestimate Brown’s rank due to their decreased acceptance rate (which matters to the tune of about 1% of the total ranking criteria) in this increasingly meaningless list. Not sure what makes you think Cornell will jump if at all also. They haven’t done anything to improve their faculty student ratio or graduation rates in any significant manner. Their selectivity is also rather stagnant.

Wth hahahahahahaha did you pick out of a hat?

As a matter of fact, I did. Do you have any better ideas?

Berkeley should knock down one of those over-hype schools in the top 20.

And the point of this thread is…?

The Top-15 usually remains unchanged from year-to-year.

Is this honestly important? You present no evidence as to why these schools will be ranked in this manner anyways.

You misnumbered and have 16 schools in the top 15. Apart from that, you did not describe how this year’s version of the Selling Magazines Random Number Generator, the most important component in the calculations involved in producing any such list, would arrive at that outcome.

^^^

Actually, he misnumbered and only has 13 schools in the “top 15”…he skipped 6 and 10.

^ The skipping was because of ties. But there were three ties and only two were accounted for.

pretty sure USC will move up a spot

betting on a three way tie between USC, cal and g-town

bumpppppppp lolcats

1) Arizona State
2) Texas A&M University at Qatar
3) University of Mississippi
4) Liberty University
5) University of Wyoming/ University of Texas at Tyler at Palestine
7) Colorado Technical University
8) University of West Florida
9) Wayne State University
10) Walden College
11) Middle Tennessee State University
12) Oregon State
13) University of South Dakota/ University of North Dakota
15) Harvard*

^As you can see, colleges from the South are on the rise, whereas schools from the Northeast are almost completely off the list. This is because before the USNWR rankings for 2013 come out, Canada will invade the Northeastern United States, leaving much of the area desolate.

*Harvard is able to avoid this fate because they offer the Canadian Prime Minister an undisclosed amount of money to leave them be. The possibility will be discussed that they orchestrated the attack cooperatively with the Canadians in order to eliminate their competition in the US News World Rankings.

wavylays there is a huge problem with your rankings…

You’re forgetting Bob Jones University in the Top 5, not to mention that Southwest Dakota State is a dark horse for the #15 spot

@KBronx17
Ehhh Bob Jones isn’t top 5 material… maybe top 10?

I’m a master bargainner…I’ll be satisfied with Bob Jones being a “sleeper” in the Top 10 only if Loyola St. Augustus Xaiver III The Evangelist’s Church of Former and Latter Day Saints University makes it into the Top 15

What about the LAC rankings?

^

 1. Middlebury
 2. Everywhere else
