Winners: Penn moved up from #8 to #6. Northwestern moved up from #10 to #9. 2nd year in a row that Northwestern is in the T 10, returning to its ‘glory days’ back in the late 1990s / early 2000s where it was in the T 10 4 times.
Losers: Uchicago moved from #3 to #6. Duke moved from #8 to #10

1 Princeton

2 Harvard

3 (tie) Columbia

3 (tie) MIT

3 (tie) Yale

6 (tie) Stanford

6 (tie) Uchicago

6 (tie) Penn

9 Northwestern

10 (tie) Duke

10 (tie) JHU

If you move from #3 to #6 or #8 to #10, are you really a loser?

Proud of my school! #PurplePride

But I was honestly pretty shocked to see Duke move down to 10th.

US News might want to review their LAC listings. Right now they have Wesleyan at #17…and #18! LOL

Don’t forget UNC Chapel Hill, in the top 30 as usual and tied with Georgia Tech.

Davidson slipping to #17 is somewhat surprising. It’s only been out of the top 10 a couple of times and is virtually never ranked lower than #11/12.

Yep, missed that 5-way tie at 29. Sorry, UNC!

@warblersrule - Pls combine this thread with the other one I started prior to this one.

Note, however, that by its overall score (86) Davidson landed a slight 3 points outside the top 10, and places the same distance from the third place schools (at 93) as the third place schools do from the first place school (set to 100).

Can only see the first page of rankings on that link…doesn’t load past first page for some reason. Anxious to see ALL 9 UC School rankings (NATIONAL & PUBLIC) and a comparison to last years US News ranks…maybe someone can put it on here? Newest campus UC Merced jumped 29 spots last year (#136 National rank-2019 US News)…5th largest jump in nation. Jumped another 32 spots this year (#104 National rank-2020 US News)…must be the biggest UC jump of any for sure…maybe the biggest in the nation on US News? Sheesh…ALL of the UC Schools close to being in the Top 100 Nationally on US News Now!

UCLA moved down a spot from 19 to 20. Cal remained at 22. And UVA and UMich swapped spots. UMich is now 25 and UVA 27.

@Fisherman99 the link works for me. Still, the UCs are as follows:

20. UCLA (#1 Public)

22. UC Berkeley (#2 Public)

34. UC Santa Barbara (#7 Public)

36. UC Irvine (#9 Public)

37. UC San Diego (#10 Public)

39. UC Davis (#11 Public)

84. UC Santa Cruz (#37 Public)

91. UC Riverside (#41 Public)

104. UC Merced (#45 Public)

Thanks…link ok…my computer has issues. Wow…6 of 9 UC’s basically Top 10…all in Top 50 (public).

It’s a reasonable list, as far as these rankings go.

I think Brown is ranked too highly, but I always think that  , and perhaps Dartmouth and Northwestern slightly too highly.

Nice to see Notre Dame move up a little - seems in the right place to me.

On the LAC side a Holy Cross goes from 35 to 27. Nice move up for a terrific school!

@wisteria100 You best me to it! Holy Cross is a gem. It’s a top LAC that rarely gets the recognition here on C.C. that it deserves. Glad to see it move up!

What happened to University of Miami?

It is always a mystery to me why Notre Dame is always ranked so highly. In the academic world, it is a lightweight.
