What are everyone's predictions for where Duke will be this year in the rankings? Will the lax scandal cause our ranking to go down?

I could see them dropping Duke a couple spots since all that really matters to them is sales and controversy can fuel that. Who knows though... it shouldnt and if it does who cares...

I don't really see Duke moving up, and US News will probably want to make changes to sell mags, so unfortunately I think a slight drop is likely.

They're not going to remodel the entire ranking just to make Duke drop a few spots. They just change the formula a little each year to make all the schools arbitrarily move around

Someone's posted the ranking on the College Search forum.

Princeton

Harvard

Yale

CalTech
MIT
Stanford

Penn

Duke

Columbia
Dartmouth
Chicago

Cornell
WUSTL

Northwestern

Brown

I personally think it's a big improvement over last year's, in that the general positioning of schools (save for WUSTL) seems more accurate.

i agree with the above comment

Duke is in a more defendable spot year, HYPSM in one level, then Dartmouth, Columbia, Duke, Penn in the next, pretty much a fair ranking that reflects were stop students like to head to
