Actually I just took these rankings from a post on College Search, ask the people who actually have the rankings I don't...
PS:If they give you them type them here please

On another note I have to ask why the ChemE rankings are so different than the general engineering one's. In other words how did it become that UWM, UM and UIUC are so highly ranked? Just wondering...

Well, I'll put it to you this way. Here are the USNews PhD rankings for Petroleum Engineering:

"1. Stanford University (CA) 4.6
University of Texas–Austin 4.6
3. Texas A&M University–College Station (Look) 4.0
4. University of Tulsa (OK) 3.9
5. Colorado School of Mines 3.8
6. University of Oklahoma 3.3
7. Pennsylvania State University–University Park 3.2
8. University of Southern California (Viterbi) 3.0
9. Louisiana State University–Baton Rouge 2.8
10. Texas Tech University "

Look, the fact is, some engineering disciplines are almost like 'boutiques' in the sense that they are highly specialized and certain otherwise unprominent schools have chosen to build strong programs in these specialties. ChemE is something of a boutique discipline. PetE is REALLY a boutique discipline.

I understand thanks! Out of curiousity I was wondering who would be looked higher upon by Grad schools- a person who graduated from UWM or a person from say from Cornell or CMU all stats being equal of course. What I mean to say is to grad schools pay more attention to individual engineering rankings or overall ones?
