i propose we jihad against caltech. theyre ugly

-_- I knew I should have bribed them with 2mil insted of 1mil

Too bad the list doesn't come out until Friday...

Yes, but I got an advance copy at Barnes and Noble yesterday. Those rankings are correct. Here's are some scanned images:

You can also look in Search and Selection for another thread with a lot more info.

Cool thanks--great find!

i think it belongs more at 7 than 4

I'm shocked that Stern ranks 5th under business programs. I thought it would be 2nd, or 3rd at the lowest.

I think this is very accurate rankings for the year. Even being at Penn, I have no problem with having MIT/Cal Tech/Stanford above us. I never thought we should have been fourth, anyway.

the list looks better than before

Wow, 4 to 7, I guess I won't be applying, I just can't see myself at a 7!

Just kidding, I would go to Penn even if they were ranked 77

Much love to B. Franklin and the whole Penn Family!

I agree. The ranking of Penn at #7 will be taken more seriously than #4.

But seriously though, what are the specific reasons for the drop?

Penn's score (out of 100) at 7th is only 1 point below the scores for the schools tied at 4th, so stastically, there wasn't a significant change.

With the implementation of the Common App for the class of 2011 and the anecdotal report by Dean Stetson that campus visits are up 15% over last year I think that you will see selectivity increase which will help boost Penn's ranking for next year. In addition, the endowment did well this past fiscal year and now exceeds $5 billion.

I think the fact that the schools at the top aren't separated by a whole lot of points should still tell you something.

Diddo, Max my man!

well, i guess those sex-deprived techies should get something for your 4 years of abstinence. eh, thank god, we've kept cornell out of the the top ten.

US news's stats are based on data from the class of 2009, in which a lot of schools had substantial increases in application submissions except for Penn. (hence our listed 21% admit rate). This will be self-correcting in next year's US news...only 365 days to go for that one!

arggg that makes me soooo mad... i mean comon caltech?! ***
eh we'll show them next year
