Us, Uk, Aus Mba

Hi,

I was wondering if comparing the 3 different MBAs from different countries which one is better? Comparing a top 10 AUS MBA, top 30 UK MBA and an average US EMBA which is better? Is Southern Illinois University Carbondale EMBA good? Is it consider an average US business school or a low tier business school?

It depends on where you’re going to work after your MBA.

If you’re planning to work in the Asia-Pacific region, then an MBA from Australia (e.g. Melbourne Business School, AGSM), Singapore (NUS, Nanyang), China (CEIBS), Hong Kong (HKUST), etc would help greatly. Also remember that it would be less expensive in terms of tuition costs and you would also have more job opportunities available.

Similarly with Europe (think INSEAD, London Business School, IMD, etc).

However if you’re planning on working in the US, you need a good MBA from a better-than-average business school (not necessarily top-tier, unless you want to work in Manhattan!).

Southern Illinois University Carbondale EMBA - never heard of this program. I would suggest that you try to enter a MBA program in a well-known University, which will also give you a good network of connections that you’ll definitely need after your MBA.
