Hey so I hear for the World History test you just have to read Barron's and you'll get a good score. Would this be possible for US History? It doesn't necessarily have to be Barron's. I'm just saying I haven't learned anything in my history classes but I want to take a History subject test. Can I just memorize abook and get a score of 700+?

If you can memorize all of Barron's for Us History, then you're sure to get a 700+...probably even 750+.

The barrons us history prep book is almost as thick as a textbook.

which is easier to self-study .. or rather review after having the subject in a long time? world or us?

Well reviewing after having the subject a long time ago would be substantially easier...self-studying is excruciating, and I've never managed to actually get past 2 chapters of one of those books. But self studying is much more effective if you're dedicated enough to stick with it, but the way I see it is: there are enough subject tests out there that you'll be able to find a couple that you wouldn't need to do a mad amount of studying for.

World is easy.

honestly, barrons is like, way too much.

I got through skimming 3-4 chapters tops? and i got a 690 with just two honors (not AP, more essay learning classes, than actual details), so a 700+ reading all barrons = easy.

soooo is it easier to review us or world history?

bumppp. btw, sorry if you feel as if i am hijacking your thread, sportgreet. i don't mean to..

haha our questions are just really similar :)
