Well, I did my research, looking for anything that might interest me in later years, and found the Biology Olympiad. I don't know AP Bio yet, obviously, but what's the best way for me to start getting into these topics during the summer? </p>

<p>^ cambell reece biology textbook is the best to study for ap bio and usabo. Try the test during junor year(most likely not gonna get to semi or top 20) and then retry it again in senior year. Don’t be too cocky if you pass semi though because you can make simple mistakes that you will regret later. My brother was in top 20 usabo but he forgot to add catalyst or enzyme into the chemicals costing him to get lower points and got placed 13th out of 20.</p>
