USA ---> Canada FInancial aid experience

I am asking anyone who is from U.S.A going to school in Canada…what is your financial aid experience?

I am assuming if you are a dual citizenship you are still considered a Canadian citizen and giving such help with financial aid. I do not have a Dual citizenship…so doubtful I would be able to relate to your experience.

Yes, I know it varies school by school… I am just looking for personal experience and if you are fine with it stating the university you had the financial aid experience with (if comfortable with that)*

McGill awards both merit and need based aid to Americans and other international students. Many Canadian schools will offer merit aid. Check each university’s website.

But if your EFC is approaching zero do not expect aid to cover full tuition.
