USA/CANADA - SSN for student visa students?

So,
I have a paypal account in my home country right now.
But as per PP rules, when i immigrate I must close the account in my hime country and start a new one there...so which forms of documents will I get when i enter either of these countries as a Student....like SSN(I guess not) or other form of IDs that will allow me to verify my paypal account i the new country so that I make use of it fully?

Any help appreciated ,thanks :)

Int students like F visa cannot get SSN because USCIS doesn’t want them to work in the US.

Well then how do they work part time and then pay taxes without ssn?!

You, as a visiting student, are not allowed to work in the US so you will not have a SSN. Non resident students are not required to file taxes since your work income (on-campus job only) is not allowed to surpass a certain level of income. <a href=“Foreign Students, Scholars, Teachers, Researchers and Exchange Visitors | Internal Revenue Service”>http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/International-Taxpayers/Foreign-Students-and-Scholars

You keep posting and assuming that ONLY you will get around the strict US immigration laws to allow you to work on your online company while going to school. As a nonresident, you are not entitled to the same rights and privileges as US citizens. SSN numbers don’t apply to you. FAFSA doesn’t apply to you. Work study does not apply to you. Pell grants do not apply to you. Becoming employed immediately after graduation does not apply to you. You will be deported if you attempt to work in the US as a student on a visa; expect this if you persist in insisting that US immigration laws wont apply to you.

While I wholeheartedly agree with aunt bea in principle, she’s not entirely correct about SSNs. F-1 students can apply for a SSN if they have a job offer that meets the narrow constraints of their visa. Their social security card will carry the comment, “valid for work only with DHS authorization.”

If there are more infos, please post.

Only thing I know is that students can work in on campus and the money directly goes to the account. Or if the student is allowed under narrow criteria like b@r!um said then yes.
