So, did anyone else apply for this? And we are supposed to hear by March 10th, so has anyone recieved an email yet? At least this scholarship notifies everyone of whether we received it or not. :)

I applied for the scholarship as well. I have not received any email from them, guess we’ll just have to wait till the 10th.

Yah, I didn’t see anything from past years showing the finalists got emails before the 10th. Two more days though. :D

are finalists winners?

I’m pretty sure that finalists are winners. There are definitely fewer winners than some of the other scholarships, but fewer people can apply because the income has to be under $35,000. I haven’t read anywhere about a semifinalist round. Have you?

Tomorrow is the day. Good luck!

"I am pleased to inform you that you have been selected as a finalist for USA Funds Access to Education Scholarships®.

To advance to the next stage and receive further consideration for an award, you must send the following documents to Scholarship America. All of the following required documents must be sent and postmarked no later than April 6, 2011:"

…how in the name O____O :O

^my exact reaction

;) congrats to us!!! i’m scared though… i thought finalists = winners (as seen in this thread’s posts…). but since they’re not, how are they selecting the award recipients?! :

Yea, I’m wondering about that too…I looked up previous threads and they say that all finalists who send in their stuff receive the scholarship. I’m not sure if this is always the case, however, and I don’t want to get my hopes up.

Bu yay :)

Sent from my iPod Shuffle.

My Name’s on the LIST!!! yay!!! I’m so excited!!!

Thanks for the info. I am going to get onto it. We have spring break next week so I will have to wait on the transcript unless I make a copy of a transcript I have. Is a copy the same thing as an unofficial one?

wohoo finalist!

what happens if I still don’t know what school I want to go to? Still waiting for out of state results… this happens on every scholarship finalist form that I’m doing lol…

I got the email in my spam folder just this afternoon, haha. So I’m good. I’m just going to send an unofficial copy of my transcript with the 1040 and finalist page because I want to send it off quickly. Is there any way we can check for reciept of our info, like do they open up our online applications again and post the supporting docs like some scholarships? Or do we have to have delivery confirmation?

Yayy I’m a finalist too! I hope we all get it lol :)
