USA June 2011 SAT Critical Reading Thread

I had a reading section experimental. Does anyone know if the section with the artist and the picture was the experimental one? That passage confused me so much.

I also had a reading experimental, and was that the same section with the fill-in about the individualist artist being praised for her work?

Was that the one with the duck/rabbit picture? I asked my friend if she had that after the test and she just looked at me like I had two heads, so it was definitely experimental :)

If that was experimental I’ll be so happy. Now to hope I didn’t mess up the bubbling. Also this isn’t specific to the reading but I used a bad eraser and left a smudge. If it’s lightly “shaded” will it grade it?

I didn’t have any with a duck/rabbit picture, but I had a Reading experimental…

If that duck picture section was experimental I WILL BE OVERCOME WITH JOY!! That reading was horrible!!!

You probably had a different experimental

And I can’t imagine the shading would hurt

Ok… vocab. Was the choice with “idiosyncratic” or “indiscriminate” the right answer? Shoooot

Were there different kinds of reading experimentals?

Because I specifically counted 4 reading sections and 3 of everything else.

I answered for that one idealist.

The question told you he was pragmatic which means practical.

idealist is kind of the opposite but I’m not sure I didn’t know what idiosyncratic was.

Pretty sure there were! I recall that there were 2 different experimental CRs in the March SAT.

CrazyPluto: I put idiosyncratic but it was a guess so idk =/ i hope its right

It was idiosyncratic, I got that wrong too :(

Was the answer to one of the two-parter vocab questions largesse and another word I can’t remember?

What about the one with the bees and the apples where it was asking what the purpose of the sentence was, two of the answers were controlling nature and manipulating language. I put manipulating language, because that’s what that whole part was talking about…

And yes Jaded, it was

Did you guys know ‘indices’ is the plural of index? I didnt lol, but i still got it right.

I had 4 CR sections, so i had an experimental but i didnt have anything with pictures. I had gardening and gossip. And of course the cliche, ‘i moved to america when i was a young girl’ passage.

I frantically changed 3 of my vocab answers in the last minute and just look them up and i was right on them all. yay. passage questions weren’t so good though.

Yeah it was largesse! I had it between frugal and largesse and I knew frugal was something about money but I had a hunch that it was saving not spending.

The other word for largesse made sense I think it was benefits.

Was the one with the opera bastion and unenchanced?

so was indices a right completion and something frugality/

@Flaming I remember putting indices for something can you refresh my memory?
