USA June 2011 SAT Critical Reading Thread

@Flaming Same.

^Was that supported by the passage? I put sadness over a loss oppurtunity

The one about the teacher _____ absences because she convinced her self the reasons were _____

Excused and credible?

What about the censorship passage, was the tone outraged+spirited for 1 and thoughtful for 2?

Would the image painted by passage one of teachers be “obscure but recognizable”?
They would both agree on independent thinking?
The freedoms for minors are harder to determine or those freedoms should not be part of the curriculum ?

Her fans heralded the fashion chick because in that industry its hard to be idosy…
i know i had this answer at first, but now i cant remember if i changed/omitted it =/
i remember erasing but idk if i filled it back in

ugh im mad now

The “oh my gawd she’s gonna marry her guitar” showed envy from her peers?

@Flaming, I put that also.

a plan she had previously espoused
yes.

Did the Indian girl spend little time cooking or enjoy her mother’s cooking?

@Iemit773, I also put: Excused/Credible, Outraged/Spirited vs Thoughtful, Independent Thinking. The others i’m not too sure about

little time cooking? I put that

@Iemit, I put spent little time cooking

Little time cooking

For censorship :
Familiar but undeserved
Extreme

what about whne the indian girl says "how does my mom know me so well yet other times not/ was that to prompt interogation/

not envy from her peers… her passion?

@baby I put her passion.
@Master I put debate but I probably got it wrong idk.

The one with the Girl that liked scuba diving was (something) (passion) right?

Censorship - harsh but accurate? Was a guess.
I remember something about melancholy for: “how my mom knows me so well yet other times doesn’t”

little time cooking.
familiar but undeserved.
extreme.
yessss

Passion from an early age, not envy. 100% sure

@Mastermind I put melancholy.

Mastermind, for the one part where the indian girl says “how does my mom know me so well…” i think it was to express something with sadness i forgot what exactly it was. I don’t think it was to prompt interrogation though… it was more “wow, my mom really doesn’t understand me as well as I thought”
