Penalty for wrong answers on this?

^ I don’t know about the curves, but somebody posted the histogram on this thread somewhere.
As far as I know, they do not officially release previously administered tests. The 2004 and 2006 Open Exams can be Googled, and some people seem to have Open Exams from other years.
Thankfully, there are no guessing penalties in the USABO.

It is a big commitment, but that’s true for almost any other endeavor. Do what you enjoy! :)

Hi I am new to USABO, I took it without studying (this year) lol, didnt do so well… =/

Anyone have a copy of 2008, 2009, or 2010 USABO exam they are willing to share? I have only seen the 2004 one which was online. And for the 2008, 2009, the sharecash link thing dosent really work for me… i put in bs info, but it dosent download.

“Like this year it was 21/50 to get past.”
I thought it was normally like 30+/50 to be semi?

This year was a bit harder

I suppose so, since more ppl are competing after every year.

what are the key things to know for the USABO and when I mean key things I mean everything. I am currently a freshman and I am planning to just pass the open exam, so next year I can pass the semis. Anybody who has been through this process, can you please tell me what you did and what you studied. Do I actually have to memorize word for word everything in the charts and graphs or just read the text for campbell. Any special websites that you can recommend also? Thank you
