<p>Anyone have any tips on what books to read for the "second round" test for the USABO? The only way I've been getting by (on practice questions) is through me having taken AP Bio already, but I know that is far from enough.</p>

<p>Dates for USABO '08 are not yet set. Administration of the open exam usually occurs over a week for more flexibility.</p>

<p>I got 30/50 on the 1st open exam (just at the cutoff) I got a really good score on the second exam MC, but the FR destroyed me.</p>

<p>i took the semifinal test last year too. what do you consider a good score? I know the mean was 70, but i wonder if that is very skewed. I think the median would be a better indicator of a "good" score.</p>

<p>I think you have to be nominated by your teacher, so you'd have to talk to him or her about it. There's a teacher registration thing for your teacher at the USABO website, <a href="http://www.cee.org/usabo/index.shtml%5B/url%5D">http://www.cee.org/usabo/index.shtml</a>, but it's not working right now.</p>

<p>I got one too, but way later after the list came out and to jack I would say 38+. i got 35 this time(first).</p>
<p>38 on the semifinal or the open? 38 on the semifinal seems really low... i got a 79. 38 on the open seems very high.</p>
<p>Yeah, what other resources are you supposed to use for the semis? I made it last year, but the FRs killed me too. A lot of that stuff isn't so much as even mentioned in the index.</p>
