The F35 is super cool... anyone know how long it'll be there?

Another mid is wearing ABUs. Apparently her AOC wasn't pleased that she wore civis to class, lol.

Our Element Leader's drawer is now full of water and fish.

:) I enjoyed seeing that. She still has navy clothes though. What gives?

She has to have Navy clothes for tomorrow (touring someone around). We are thinking lobsters tomorrow night. Should be fun :)

we threw our mid in the air gardens last night...at 0012 hrs. we also stole his mattress, bedding, and clothes(again).

Wow, I'm extremely disappointed with senior leadership from '09. "Hey guys, I'm going to take UCMJ action against you for spirit missions during Navy Week..."

...seriously?!

yea i know, how dissapointing

Well there goes the lobster idea, I do not want to have the UCMJ brought against me.

Moving the F-35 was stupid, but come on! Is it that hard to move it back? It has wheels!

I don't like the crack-down on spirit missions. As long as they are not offensive or damaging (cough-group 2-cough), they should be fine.

On the other hand, they specifically said not to mess with the F-35. I agree that they are reacting a little harshly, but there are thousands of other spirit missions you could do that wouldn't involve the F-35. I having a feeling though that spirit missions will continue anyway ;)

I agree the F-35 was dumb, but nothing was damaged. Probably the worst part is the fact that we were explicitly told not to move it. I still think threatening with the UCMJ is over the top.

Yeah, it was dumb...I had a feeling something would happen before the week ended.

I'm just annoyed at the general trend of restricting spirit missions--adding too much red tape to a college prank, IMO. As I said, if it's not offensive or damaging, it should be fine. During 4 dig year, we...erm...severely bent the rules on spirit missions, but we confirmed that no one would be REALLY POed about it, before we went through with it. That is different, IMO, from having to ask 3 different authorities to put a "cloak" on a statue along with a guidon. To me, that screams "CYA"...to a rediculous level.

they better not cancel the bonfire!

not group two, it was 16.. yeah, our squad is pretty upset about the whole "get every single spirit mission approved" bs. they really didnt care. but now, they have to enforce it or they get in trouble.. ridiculous if you ask me.

Are you sure it was 16. My friend in 18 said it was her 4 digs.

I heard 18 too. Apparently their training officer encouraged it.

my friends are in 16, and they didn't do it. I heard that all of group 2 is going to be restricted until Thanksgiving for disobeying a direct order. I really hope not! Haven't heard for sure or not yet. really hope not, my mom is coming down for Columbus Day Weekend. I sent up a SSS as soon as i heard about the possibility of restriction!

no no, the painting over people's murals and on the guy's memorial case was 16. the f-35 was 18...

Are you guys talking about a real F-35 ? Was it on display on the T-zo or something? Was this a flash back to the 70's?
