<p>How many kids participate in each of the above competitions? And how many people made the semi each year? Do they need more time to prepare than USAMO? Are they way beyond AP chem and AP physics' material?</p>

quarterfinal: little more difficult than ap phys c
semi: death! destruction! murder!</p>
<p>around 200 make quarter, 158 kids this year made semi, 24 make team, and 5 make traveling team.</p>
<p>no idea about time.</p>
<p>chem: 2 kids make semi per school.</p>
