hey guys so I AP’ed out of my required writing courses in college but USC requires one years worth of writing courses. Will my AP’s satisfy that problem or do I have to take the same/different writing courses in college too?

@ Desert_Fox, unfortunately no it doesn’t you will have to take a writing course, check [USC ARR : Articulation : Advanced Placement Exams](http://www.usc.edu/dept/ARR/articulation/apexams.html) - in the AP English portion it says it fulfills none of the GE requirements, this means that if you received a 4 or 5 on your AP exam it will transfer as ELECTIVE credit and unfortunately not the writing requirement. I think it’s because USC like many colleges stress on the importance of writing in general, as I heard from an admissions counselor during Marshall Transfer Workshop.

wow…that would be what I call a good game. Thanks though xdzzzrawr

does anyone know the whole big envelope situation in which we can send our high school transcripts, university transcripts, and letters of recommendation all in one big giant envelope and if so, which exact address do we send it to? If someone could reply asap I’d really appreciate it, I’m meeting 2 of my English professors for my letters tomorrow and would be glad to have any information regarding this, thanks in advance.

Do you guys think it would be ok to list high school sports in the activities section in addition to clubs and stuff I’m active in now?

yea we can send in all our supporting materials all in one big envelope; i went to usc this morning and turned everything in at the admissions office and got a receipt for everything that was accounted for (hs transcript, college transcript, lor) not sure what the address is tho.

@skyline12- thats what i did, also because theres not a whole lot ECs im currently doing now

man I’m looking at my activity summary page right now, and it is realllll blank. I haven’t participated much in college activities since most of the activities in my school are real dull and do not contain any real scholarly merit. do you think they well factor our extra curricular as much if we are 2nd year + college students, but we perform well in grades. I currently have a 3.9 and my app so far looks pretty thorough but when it gets to the activity summary its just ________________.

i think theyll be more lenient towards transfer applicants on the ecs due to the fact we’re usually older thus having more responsibilities (bills, rent, kids, etc…) and have less time to participate in activities; however, they still help
