@dreamingUSC: Any idea how much the lease prices are?

@StigmataMartyr: “Don’t worry if yours is even slightly different.”

@zack504: When did you mail/submit your transcripts?

It seems that we’re taking every moment to panic. As a sidenote: I’ve submitted my latest transcripts about 4 weeks ago and they still haven’t showed up in OASIS. I’m not worried.

Is that what your financial aid document page looks like? When did you submit your css and fafsa? I submitted those like 2 weeks ago. I’m wondering how long it takes for them to show up…

@mxbile131: No, that isn’t mine specifically, but very similar. As far as time frame is concerned, I think I mentioned at least twice to allow 3-4 weeks.

Ya I understand that is the norm for admission documents to be processed I just wasn’t sure about the financial aid. I figured that would be on a more automated system.

As far as housing is concerned, I’m considering off campus. I just need to find the right situation. From what I hear, its hard for new transfers to get campus housing???

It is hard to get campus housing as a transfer, though not impossible (depending on when you apply).
Skyline: As for leasing prices for these three locations, one bedrooms start around $1800, and one of the locations (I believe it’s The Pointe) offers studios around $1400. Though the website ([CDI Management USC](http://www.uscspots.com/index.html)) does not state this, I was able to find prices on Craigslist. They appear to be popular among students, so I am not sure if I would be able to live there if I waited until the (hopeful) acceptance letter.

Oh my goodness, their document management system is killing me. So many things that I sent in are not showing up there. =( This is really stressing me out. They say they’re missing one of my college transcripts despite the fact that it was sent out over a week ago, they don’t say they have another one of my college transcripts, and the letters of recommendation that I had my professors send in aren’t showing up.

@ Goldfinch…It takes about 2-4 weeks for it to show up. Think of how many thousands of things they are getting in right now. Don’t stress and check everyday. Check again in a week and a half or so.

On another note, wow I keep getting the thank you for applying letters to check if there is anything wrong with my app. I even got TWO yesterday. Maybe it means they REALLY want me…hahaha

@rhandler33: Hahah, thank you for making me feel a bit better. Do you think part of the slow processing is due to the fact that all three of my transcripts as well as my letters of recommendation were sent via postal mail?

@Thegoldfinch - Imagine a pile of envelopes/letters from floor to ceiling. Then imagine only a hand full of people having to sort through, look up the applicant, scan everything in etc.

That is why it takes weeks. I myself mailed mine in and know for a fact it was received (delivery confirmation) yet mine has not shown up after a full week. Just relax :)

@Kulakai: Thank you. If you haven’t noticed, I am quite a worry wart about pretty much everything. What would I do without CC to alleviate my stress? =p

i got another 2 letters in the mail today. that’s 6 total. they must want me 6 times more than u guys :)

anyway if i get in and i decide to go i need to find some roomates for housing. maybe like 2 or 3 people so we can get a decent studio. my budget is like 600-700 a month

Haha I haven’t checked the mail all week so I’m hoping I have at least two letters or I’m going to feel somewhat neglected!!

Does anyone know how the breakdown of the EFC works? When I finished the FAFSA it said my EFC was roughly 29k. How is this broken down for housing, tuition, books, meals, ect? I would like to know how they allocate the money so I can come up with some sort of budget for housing so I can start looking…

^^^ Ha, yeah a studio has ZERO bedrooms. I’m looking to find off campus housing, I have a dog though so that will narrow down my options a bit. Is Craigslist the best place to look for apartments?

There are plenty of listings on craigslist for apartments around the campus and between campus and downtown depending on where you want to be at.
