USC 2011 Transfer Thread

Hey guys , hopefully this thread is not to early.

Here are some Deadlines coming up!

October 15, 2010 Part I Application Deadline for Freshmen and Transfer Students

February 1st 2010 Transfer Application Deadline for Scholarship and Regular Consideration.

who is applying and what major?

Dang, I’ve been trying to see if there was such a thread for awhile now…

I’ll be applying for sure, I’m Accounting major so…Marshall, like tons of others I’m sure

p.s. Already sent in Part I, waiting for Part II while working on other apps

I hope you guys get in to all the schools you apply to (or at least your #1 choices)

not meaning to hijack your thread
When i was filling out the application, it only gave me three choices for my intended major and Finance or Marketing weren’t one of them. Accounting was freshman only and Business Administration was the only choice i could choose. I was wondering if i had to apply as a business admin major and then switch majors once accepted?

Sorry if this question is dumb.

@CrownoftheSea Are you applying as a junior or soph?
@doworkgetbig yeah I think you can do that but it just in case call Marshall school of Business and ask one of the counselors.

i might.

sophomore transfer, geography major. i don’t know how strong their program is

I’ll be applying as a Junior…

Good luck to you all. It will be a crazy, long, and often frustrating journey. It will be worth all of the headaches for those who get accepted.

I’ll be applying as a junior, too. Hopefully the won’t look down upon a gap year!

I’ll be applying as a junior for political science. My second choice is Occidental but I really want to be a trojan. =D My gpa is kinda sucky 3.5 but I have amazing volunteer experience.

Good luck to all of you. :)

Hey there,

Has anyone been able to open the link for the Marshall transfer application??? It won’t work for me, it just says 404 Not Found…

If anyone could give it a shot and tell me please…It’s approx. 1/3 down the page, #4 it says “Fill out the USC Application (Part I and II)”.

edit: and if anyone is willing to help “chance” me, PM me and I would really appreciate it  very nervous

hey- if i’m a sophomore transfer wanting to major in business. do i apply directly to the business school or do i first apply the arts and sciences one and then transfer to marshall later on? sorry if this seems like a really stupid question!

@ McBainTrain- you apply directly to Marshall. Just curious, what will be your transfer GPA?

guys, if i am freshman now in cc and i am trying to transfer into USC as a sophomore… when do i apply by?? i am kind of confused…

@asd The deadline for Transfer students is Feb 1st 2011 for regular and scholarship.

ah ok… do you happen to have a link about that?? I was confused because if I am trying to go into USC as a sophomore, but then I thought I would have to be apply like in a month?? and I’ve just been in CC for not even a month…

Applying to Marshall this year for Fall 2011 acceptance.

After this semester will have 3.83 GPA and all but 1 prereq finished…In honors program, and will have letters of rec.

Hopefully everything works out

thanks for the info!

I’ve been waiting for this thread to come up. USC is my absolute dream school. I swear if I don’t get in this year, I’ll apply next year, and if that doesn’t work, I’ll apply again for law school. USC is going to either admit me or hear from me until they’re sick of me. I’ll be applying as a sophomore transfer from a CCC with a 4.0. I’ll either be majoring in Communications or psychology
