They do average both grades but also look at upward trends in grades. Best believe one should get an A in a class they get a D in the first time because they Kinda expect that. Also, do not put them in a position to guess. Any struggles should be explained.

OMG!!! A FREAKIN STATUS CHANGE!!!

went from having freshman status to the transfer one!

Undergraduate Application (Part II, Fall 2011)
We are reviewing your application. Sometimes we require additional information, so be sure to respond to any requests promptly. Transfer applicants are notified of their admission, or of a request for more information by June 1.

FINALLYY…

hi guys- new to the forums here, i applied for transfer into CLAS as undecided! my status is the “we are reviewing your application” one…hasn’t changed in like 3 weeks!
hopefully statuses don’t mean much this year!

@azntransfer2usc yeah don’t worry about it statues don’t mean anything this year, unless you get the “we need more info” one.

ok haha… i wonder if there are any backdoor links like the previous years lol

^^ doesn’t seem like those links are working this year :/

darn haha oh well!

Hi, Im new to the forum. I have had the “we are reviewing your application” status since before April. My major is Biological Sciences, does anyone know when people start to see status changes?

I talked to the admissions office yesterday and she literally said statuses don’t mean much at all

@vballplayer10 You’ll begin to see a rash of status changes on your profile in the first two weeks of May, last year I was accepted into their Judaic Studies, however had Film Production as my first choice, and my status changed within three days from foward to committee to decision being made. So, get ready in a few weeks, you’ll know if you got in or not.

@03ulima

That might of been last year with the status changes but USC has changed their methods, or it appears so. One, the backdoor links produce blank and forbidden pages which was not the case last year. Secondly, the two posters who were accepted here did not follow the classical progression through the statuses as according to last year.
This. Hopefully people can stop placing emphasis on the statuses until there is evidence that last year’s progression is still in place this year.

^^^ Yep! People stop relying on the statuses to tell you anything. My status still says “The admission committee is reviewing your application” even though they already posted the SIR stuff for me to fill out and posted my finaid. Status does not matter this year

@MitchAPalooza Thanks for the info. :)

I’m sitting in my last class, hopefully ever at Northeastern. After this, I have 4 finals over the next week & a half, then summer. Hopefully, a nice package from USC will be coming soon haha

you guys think we’ll be getting some CLAS acceptances next week?

also, regarding the statuses. i’ve said before on here that they really don’t mean much; however, i think for CLAS, Marshal, and the other schools that did not have earlier deadlines and will be processing applications on schedule, the statuses may actually mean something. I think especially for CLAS, our status progression should mean something. Just a thought. Might be wrong. Usually the things admission counselors say differ, so I don’t know if we should believe the woman that said statuses mean nothing this year. time will tell i guess. :)

Here’s the decisions thread from last year.
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/transfer-students/904974-usc-transfer-decisions-2010-official-thread-2.html

If you’re trying to predict when decisions will be made, it’s probably better to look at that than to look at your status lol

I don’t understand how Rob Kardashian got into USC. Having hooks help. A lot.

yea the Kardashian family not only has a lot of hookups but a lot of $$$ too. plus Rob Kardashian Senior was an SC grad and i think a generous one ;)

does anyone know around when will Annenberg release the decision?
I am an international student and I am going home on May 18th.
I’m not sure when should I call and have an address change or something
A little worried :S

still waiting on my annenberg decision; i feel that decisions will start coming from may 1st. hopefully i can get in, since with my major, I cant apply with more that 36 units so I am just eagerly anticipating.
