@pinstripe, I called USC yesterday with the same question and they said that you can have your school send your transcripts even before you submit your application. They have a place to save it for you until you send the rest of your app.
Not sure about whether it has to be postmarked by feb 1 or arrived by then.

Finished with my essay!

Anybody want to proof read it? Or just read it for fun!?
I know i need help with grammar @.@

For SCA (School of Cinematic Arts), there are 3 required letters of recommendation. Can you send in an extra letter? I already have 3 teachers writing me letters, but would like to send in another one from someone else (which would bring my total to 4). Does USC let you do this? If they do, would they read and consider the extra letter?

Any help would be greaaaatly appreciated!

Good luck everyone! I’m so excited, yet anxious at the same time! Best of luck! Who’s done with their essays?

@ reelfilm it shouldnt be a problem.

Just wondering and asking to double check, does EVERYONE who applies by feb 1st recieve a SGR? I don’t think so but Ive come across some posts that everyone does get one. I thought you either get rejected at once or an SGR. Who knows FOR SURE?

Instead of reading through 65 + pages of USC stuff…

I graduated HS in June 2009 with an IB diploma in Canada, the grade was terrible! I was predicted a 28 but instead received a 25. Our school was only in its second year with IB so all the teachers were relatively new to the process. My ACT was a 26, I wrote it twice and off the top of my head: 31 math, 25 science, 8 essay, 25 reading and 23 english…2nd time, math was a 29, english was 25 and reading was 29.

Well I was supposed to receive 2-3 points for the EE and TOK because they were both marked as an A and a B respectively. But ended up with a C and a D when they got sent to India for marking. A good 50%+ of the students from the year previous was somewhat in the same situation as me but with B’s and C’s after being predicted A’s on the essays. They didn’t really care though since they already got into the schools they wanted.

I applied and got into a business school in ontario and a pre-pharmacy program in michigan. I got rejected by all the schools I wanted to go into including USC. By the time of graduation I wanted to go into pharmacy but still wasn’t sure since I had a feeling it was parental pressure.

So I ended up working after high school with my dad who owns several pharmacies and is a pharmacist himself. It was his last year before he retired and sold everything off.

So fall of 2010, after working that year, I knew I liked business but hated pharmacy. Enrolled at a tier 3 university. So after 1 semester (14 credits), my GPA is a 3.93. A’s in Psych, Microecon, Business and a A- in Physics (social science req). I also have 8 credits from IB diploma (HL english and HL history) for a grand total of 22 total credits as of right now. Taking 16 credits this semester

So, second time around and looking at Marshall, my GPA looks pretty good and I have about 18 days to write up some essays.

So what do you think so far?
and my other question is:

it says the requirement to be even considered is:

“Transfer applicants will be considered for admission once they have completed the prerequisite courses (college writing, business calculus) and meet USC admission requirements.” [USC Marshall Undergraduate Program Admissions Transfer Students](http://www.marshall.usc.edu/undergradprogram/admissions/admissions-transfer-students.htm)

I have the english credit from IB, and I will be taking calc in the summer. I just started the semester but all the calc classes are 100 percent full.

Should I even apply, I don’t have either of the considerations?

jaajaa, just look at last years USC Transfer decision thread… you will see multiple transfers accepted without a SGR who had less than 30 credits at the time of the app.

what is the address that we need to send our transcripts to, for Marshall transfer??

edit: the lady on the phone told me it’s:

3601 south flower, room #112
Los angeles, ca 90089-9011

but then there is also… :

USC Office of Admission
Undergraduate
University Park Campus
Los Angeles, CA
90089-0911

which address is correct???

QUESTION!

When is the CSS Profile due? It says the 2010-2011 is due Jan 17th, but what about 2011-2012?

All financial aid material (Fafsa and CCS) are due Feb 2nd…day after apps are due!!!

so I came back on here after people have been messaging me but GOOD LUCK!!! I know how it feels to be in this situation and hope everything turns out for the best (hopefully USC or to another amazing school) :D

If you need anything, you can always message me

But you can also just get rejected too right? while others receive a SGR or admission…So it can go anyway? Or you either get accepted or a SGR? No one gets rejected yet until they see spring grades?

Oh and also do you have to send SAT/ACT reports? I know they don’t base admission on that if you have 30 units or more but they still require to as I read in my USC transferring booklet. Can anybody double check for me?

hey guys! i’m applying to the (First choice) psychology major as a transfer for sophomore year…my gpa is kinda low though-3.4917 (I go to UT Austin though, so I hope the rigor of my school will come into play)
but I just submitted the app and i went back to my main page and it said “Begin Part 2 of your undergrad application” and the status was like “you have not submitted your app yet” or whatever it says, even though I had just submitted it (and i got an email saying that USC got my app!) but when i clicked the “begin part 2…” it was all blank! So…I dunno…i emailed admissions to ask them but I’ll call tomorrow just in case. Anyone else have this happen??

Is anyone else having trouble accessing the “Courses and Grades” section. Like you cannot even click to go to that section. I assumed its because we’re sending in transcripts but I wanted to make sure

@stressed-yeah i think that was blocked out for me too!

Okay cool!

ALso, can anyone who is applying/has applied to Marshall Business contact me via pm, I have a couple questions about the supplement application.

@stressed, first of all, don’t be stressed haha :)

Yeah that section is blocked out because we (transfers) do not have to fill out that part. Our transcript will show all our grades from high school and college.

kmart- thats really weird… so you filled out part 2, but then it was blank? Call USC tomorrow.

Jaajaa20- By June 1st, you will either know if you have been accepted, rejected, OR you will receive a SGR. That means they want to see your spring grades, then they will make a decision. You will most likely hear in July in that case.

Snowboard - Thank you!

Sir,
I know this question has been asked numerous times, and talked over excessively about, but I really would like to know your answer. I will be done with 36 transferable units by the end of Spring 2011, so do I still need to send in my SAT scores?

You do not need the SAT after 30 transferable units.

Bruce Grier

Might be a dumb question… but when do we send transcripts? After we are accepted?
