The GPA calculator says 3.9375 …should I just put 3.9 or round to 3.94?

How long did it take for you guys to send your materials and have USC log it into USConnect? It’s been a week for me and it still says “required” for me…and I live in SoCal too…should I call or just wait it out?

Does anyone’s status still say “we are unable to process the status of your application at this time.” Am very worried!!!

I submitted Part II of my application on the 30th of Jan. Have not yet turned in my transcripts. Turning them in today.

@CrownoftheSea: Give them a call, ask if they got the materials. :D

Yeah I think I will!

I e-mailed them, but when I tried to put in my USC ID# in the e-mail form, it says that the number was invalid, holy…! I’m not sure how that happened…

Like I said, give them a call. If something is up, they will fix it.

All this mayhem DOES make me happy that I had an early deadline…

@CallofDuty

hey i read on the thread that you got a status update saying they’ve made a decision. I was wondering what your gpa is, as I have a very low gpa (3.05), and am worried that I soon will be getting the same update…of course if you do not feel comfortable sharing your gpa that is perfectly fine. also what program did you apply for? feel free to PM me as well

@amanda

I JUST submitted my application yesterday and that message has been there even before i submitted it. My GPA is a 3.8 at UCI. Applying for CLAS

OMG! I just realized that I don’t know how to submit the application. There is no ‘submit application’ button. Any help?

anyone here applying to the school of public policy, planning and development?

@snowboard129, I completed all of the parts of the app except the essay a while ago (the white squares filled in when I finished each part) and then when I finished the essay on Saturday, it took me straight to the payment of the application (it was weird). I think you should just make sure that you have everything done. If not, call them?

As for me, I thought I sent my transcripts so that they’d get in before the deadline, but apparently they’re both missing. Should I wait a day or two, see if they’re still missing, and then call?

One thing you’ll come to realize is USC’s statuses are unreliable.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

@anandrenga2001

I applied there as my second choice

Well I called the office of admissions today and I was super THANKFUL! I was about to send my transcripts to another address, but the address to send transcripts is 3601 South flower street, room 112

Anyone know how much the essay portion weighs into your admission chances? My application as a whole was pretty good (solid GPA, solid EC’s, all pre-reqs completed) but I felt that my essay was pretty meh in comparison to everything else. I’m applying as a Comm major, btw.

Also, I had requested my college to send the transcripts last Thursday, but my college Admissions office is pretty incompetent (sorry, it’s true!) and I’m afraid it won’t be processed/postmarked by today. Will this affect my chances?

Thanks!

maddielove: I’ve heard the essay can make quite a difference. But overall your grades are more important lol don’t sweat it.

I’ve also heard that they are relatively flexible with the transcript arrival times, since there can be problems with mail and “technical difficulties”. I mailed mine about 2 weeks ago, as well as uploaded it through the site, just in case.

maddielove - hey saw your applying as Comm. are you transferring as a junior?

by the way guys how important are extracurriculars if you are applying a jr transfer with over 60 credits taken?

Not very important at all. Unless you’re working two jobs while attending college, they said they’re focusing more on your school work and grades.

Since debating whether I should put summer camp counselor from high school in my work experience if I am a junior transfer. :/
