did someone cannot wait for the decision and they hack the website lol?

^Most likely :p

@moya90 hahaha…I need to get in contact with that guy…

seems like the admission documents part is working for me (the checklist of received/missing documents), but the undergraduate admission status part isn’t. says something about refreshing the previous page and it timing out.

:) maybe it’s a sign that I should ease up on checking it so much.

So I checked with my college and they said they sent my transcript on January 26th. Also I forgot to tell them to write my USC id with it when I requested to send it. Should I be worried? Or just wait till the end of the week (possibly end of next week) and call then if it still has not been posted?

AF1990:

don’t worry about the USC id, you should be fine since you’ve got your name and all of your other info. I would say in about a week call them and check if all of your stuff has been received. It will take them a bit to update the status of the received documents, so just wait a little bit and then call them to check ;)

@snizzle Thanks. I’ll wait a bit then before freaking out lol :P

Hey,
Does anyone know if we have to correct the FAFSA/CSS once we file our taxes, since USC requires a copy of the return anyway?

Good luck everyone!

Anyone else still having issue trying to log into USConnect?

@crownofthesea it’s working fine for me

Aye, it just started working for me too…time to restart my endless checking to see if they’ve received my transcript…

I was talking with my CC counselor and they were saying USC won’t give credit or at least doesn’t like transfers to have taken online classes. She could be completely wrong but has anyone else heard this and is there any truth to it?

I hope there is no truth to that…I’m taking two of my four classes online right now.

JUST CALLED USC because I was in a panic. The person on the other line told me so long as the class is on the articulation agreement, it’s totally okay. In cases where the class is not on the articulation agreement, USC reviews the class on a case by case basis.

Most schools don’t even write in the transcripts that the course was taken online. I know that mine doesn’t.

I believe USC does not accept online classes for general education credit, but only elective. May be wrong, but that is what I have read.

Hey guys,
I am doing really poorly in chemistry and am considering dropping it (if I drop it today it won’t be on my record and there won’t be W on my transcript), but I already sent my transcript to USC with Gen Chem II on it. How bad would it be if I dropped it? Should I call in to explain, or send in another transcript?

to everyone asking about the online/hybrid class policy

basically, USC is fine with it unless you take a foreign language or a lab science online/hybrid course. then they will not give you credit. if you’re at a CC and your school has an articulation agreement with SC, look at the entire list of transferable courses; some of them have a note that states that a syllabus is required if it was taken online in order to receive credit.

I am currently taking a biology class (with a lab) online for credit. I specifically asked about this and was told so long as it was on the articulation agreement (which it is) I am good to transfer it over.

@gwave5 If you know you will do poorly in the class you should drop now. Especially if you won’t get a W. In terms of telling USC, I would just call and ask what to do before you make a decision. It would look much better to just drop the course and try to amend your application then getting a D in a chem class.

Thanks everyone for clearing up the online class question. I found out that if its on your articulation agreement you should be fine. Also most transcripts do not list a course as taken online so I don’t think USC could even find out.
