Hey Whisper,

Actually don’t email your counselor. They are very busy this month because waves of acceptances and rejections for freshman are coming. He or she will get back to you soon. Whats your question? I can probably answer it. If I nor anyone else on this thread can, then call admissions, but don’t email again. Its just a busy month. My counselor replied back after a week. He even said everyones been busy.

Thanks for the advice, I’ll wait till he replies back to me. I emailed my counselor asking about the status of my hs transcript which hasn’t been updated as received yet (I mailed it in Jan and brought it to the office on 2/22) since the admission lady told me to contact him for this matter. I just hope I’ll hear from him soon and get this worry out of my mind. Again, thanks for your help!

If anyone is wondering about sending in their tax returns in to FAFSA, it is not mandatory that it be sent March 2. However, they cannot compile your package for financial aid without those papers so the sooner you mail them in, the better. This is information that I’ve received from my counselor and I’m just passing it along. Even though USC has been really busy lately, my counselor seems be very prompt in her responses so if anyone has any questions I can email my counselor provided that your counselor is a bit busier.

Anyone’s status changed yet? :D

Judging by last year’s results, seems like they should begin to start changing around mid March??

they still have not updated my college transcript… Should I call at this point? School sent to USC on January 26th…

@AF yeah give them a call; it is likely they overlooked that part of your app and need to be notified of this fact.

I called. I guess they are just being extra slow in updating the system for some reason…I’ll give them another week to do it…

I was gonna call them today too but decided to wait till next week…

What do you think? Do I have a chance?

I just got back from sacrificing a lamb on the hood of my car. The results were good. I received strong indications that you were going to be accepted. No doubt.

Hahahaha. Sorry. You’re new so I’ll just leave the short response to this. We, as in the posters, are not qualified to answer such questions. We are not the admission officers therefore we cannot answer such a question. If people do answer saying yes, then they are BSing you.

Your best bet is to compare yourself with empirical evidence such as past applicants who have been accepted. Below I have attached a few links.

Sorry if I offended you. Just seems that every post on CC is now asking for someone to chance them. Nobody knows. Simple as that.

Haha Mitch, I read your first line in that post…and I was alll what the hell… and then i started laughing towards the end. How about you answer my question… If I get a P (Pass) for a course that is USC Transferable, does it transfer over and do I get credit? Ive been looking everywhere, and no answer.

Thanks

Can I transfer classes taken Pass/No Pass or Credit/No Credit?

Yeah I’ve read that…but they said “required course” This course is not a GE nor required for my major.

hmmn… I’m kind of embarrassed now. I wish there was a way to delete old posts : /

Well I found some old articulation article with SMC and USC. It states the same thing. I also found this:
I interpret that as you cannot take more than 24 units of Pass/No Pass at your current school or USC. As in cannot exceed 24 between your old school and while at USC.

What types of courses may be taken pass/no pass?
If the course is transferable and not a prerequisite or GE then it will most likely transfer as an elective barring that you have not exceeded the 24 unit limit.

EDIT:

@lluvia00

Don’t worry about it. I was out of line. We really are helpful here. I just got carried away. Like I said your best bet is to compare yourself with applicants who have been accepted before. As the cliche saying goes, the numbers do not lie.

I’m just a big opponent against chance me threads because someone might say yes you have a good chance and you’ll get your hopes up only to see them shattered with a piece of paper. We are not qualified so none of us should be answering questions in that matter.

You need to have accumulated over a certain amount of posts and there is a time frame.

Like I said though, I would not worry about it. If you look through this thread there are countless posts like yours. If you are really concerned, in a few hours this thread will be on page 124 and the majority will not see your post.

Look what you did MitchAPalooza!

;)

i know its WAY too early, but who’s going to setup our decision thread? :D

Hi Mitch, or anyone, I have a question for you guys.

Under my USC undergrad app, it says “We have received your application, and it appears we need more information. Please ensure you have submitted all required items. Due to the high volume of application documents we receive, allow sufficient processing time.”

However, under the status of specific documents, I have submitted everything from my high school to college transcript, and it does not REQUIRE that I submit more. I think they have received all of my documents but haven’t updated my status. What do you guys think?
