<p>Once again, to reiterate USC statuses are ***very unreliable ***. Their behavior can very erratic. I quickly read that someone status had updated? I would not hold your breath attempting to see if it follows the progression. Unless your major is one of the ones who had to submit their application early, then I would not expect a change in the future.</p>
<p>Last year, USC had over 34,000 (freshman) applications. The freshman are notified first then transfers, some 10,000 of them. So all you have is time. Relax and breathe guys. It’s going to be a long haul.</p>
<p>@CallofDuty: I KNOW! The first thing I am doing once I am accepted is buying a license plate frame, then a “Parent” license plate frame, and a hoodie, t-shirt and some red shoes.</p>
<p>Don’t ask how I’m going to pay for this. I don’t think I can even pay for USC. Charlie Sheen is looking for an intern though…</p>
<p>i wanted to get a USC sweatshirt when I was there last week, but held off. Even if don’t get in (that would be depressing haha) it would still be acceptable to own as my gf goes there, but I didn’t want to jinx myself haha</p>
<p>Ditto to the USC gear!! Man I cannot wait to be a Trojan…but I’ll have to be a matador if USC doesn’t accept me. I’m really hoping for USC over northridge though</p>
<p>so i called into my TTP adviser and she told me that the status of dealing with freshmen vs. transfers doesn’t mean anything and that even if it says stuff about freshmen, we are still in as transfers. generally it does that if its our second time around applying…</p>

<p>Been visualizing the day I get my acceptance letter. Tired from work, school, and the gym, as I scooter home at night I’ll check my mailbox. Expecting to see my usual Economist or Bloomberg magazine, in addition to those I’ll find a USC acceptance letter. Then I will open it and proceed to cry. And THEN the first thing I will do is go order a New Era fitted USC cap Second thing I will do is post on this thread.</p>
<p>The power of positive thinking and visualization of your goals is amazing. Don’t doubt yourselves, and think about what could go wrong! You’ve done your best, sent in your apps, and now just wait and imagine yourself achieving your goal of getting in. Everyone praying to get into SC, read this article. :)</p>
<p>My reviving of the acceptance letter is going to go something like this…</p>
<p>I will be sitting around at home because I do not go to school more than two days a week and I don’t have a job. It will be late April/Early May. I will be checking the mailbox as I have been since April. I open the mailbox, I grab the mail. As I sort though the mail on my walk up the driveway, a little whistle is heard as I see the acceptance package. I drop all the mail and tear open my package, fall to my knees and scream in happiness. The camera rises…</p>
<p>Then…celebration dinner wearing a USC shirt.</p>

<p>I’ll be either studying for finals (last week of April) or getting ready to go to whatever undergrad research thing I choose to do (assuming I get accepted to one…) in early May and then my mom will walk up to me with a huge smile on her face and then I’ll know I was accepted.</p>
<p>More realistically, however, I’ll probably be at home, getting ready for my crappy summer job because I failed to get accepted to any of the research programs and then my mom will hand me a very thing USC envelope which will read “lol! You thought you had a chance???”. Then I’ll continue being a sad panda =(</p>
<p>I will get a notification from my school’s mail room, since the package can’t fit inside of my tiny allotted mailbox. Naturally, I’ll assume it is the Toshiba charger I order from Ebay every two months. Since I work during all normal business hours, I will send my friend to retrieve it, via text. A couple of hours later, he/she will text me something pseudo-mysterious that gives it all away. Wild-eyed, I will tell my employers I am going on a coffee run and take the three hour bus ride back to campus where I will big-body my friend, snatch the package, rip it open, throw the contents up in the air and roll around in the materials as they fall to the floor in slow-motion, all the while laughing maniacally. Then I will buy a hoodie.</p>

<p>hey guys how long did it take for USC to update your transcript on usconnect? I mailed it in on 2/23 and should’ve been there on 2/24. Its 3/8 today and still on the website it says my transcripts are missing… this is driving me nuts right now since I sent it in pretty late and I’m afraid that I will get in trouble. Anyone know how long it takes for them to upload it on the system?</p>
<p>^^ it takes a while so don’t worry about it too much. wait until the end of this week, and if it still isn’t updated, give them a call and ask them if they have received your transcripts.</p>

<p>and to all of you talking about the SC gear; i’m on the same page! everytime i go to the gym there are 2 or 3 SC students there with their license plate frames; can’t wait to be one of them! its definitely the first thing i’m buying. then moving on to filling my entire closet with SC stuff :D. </p>
<p>and i’ve played back how i think i’ll get my acceptance letter about 7,500 times in my head lol. i’ll probably stop breathing if i open the mailbox and see a big envelope with USC’s logo in the corner</p>
