USC accounts?

I turned in my Common App and USC supplements before December 1st to be consider for the merit scholarship, but I still haven't hear back from USC yet, let alone registration to an USC account. Is anyone having this issue as well, or is this pretty normal considering how large USC is?

Thanks

S got a reply from USC toward the end of January in 2006, I believe. It’s still early days. Be patient. Neither of my kids got a USC account until they were accepted and paid a deposit to enroll.

Things have changed a bit this year - in years past, applicants were able to create a USConnect account early on and track the “status” of their applications. There was a LOT of stress associated with the status-tracking, as applicants read all kinds of things into the most mundane of changes on their status page. From panicked calls to USC admissions asking why they had been rejected to wild assumptions of acceptances and scholarships announced to the world, applicants went NUTS in response to the statuses.

With the move to The Common Application, USC also appears to have put the brakes on the status monitoring. The message on the USConnect log-in says that you will be invited to create an account soon [" + loginpagetitle + "](http://usconnect.usc.edu/) . In the meantime, rest assured that USC will notify you if you have missing items and allow you to submit them.

Good luck!
