Every applicant is looked at as a whole without emphasis on any particular category. As a whole, most USC students have high GPA and SAT, great essays and numerous EC's. USC students don't just list a resume of 20 clubs they joined. Everyone here was passionately involved in something while contributing to or leading an organization.

Some of my friends of my high school graduating this year were rejected. They seemed to have everything going for them, but some of them lacked the "passion" in the EC's and just did as many as they could for the college application.
