strawberryjam- I have the same status as you and the cal grant rep. told me it should be processed in mid to late July.

Oh okay, thanks WOT and USC24. I got pretty worried about the cal grants.

ok, so I just got a call from Trojan Housing about my application..

and there were no more housing for transfer students, but she did offer me some freshman housing which included Birnkrant single, doubles for Marks Towers and Troy Hall, and some international thing which I don’t remember

what do you guys think? in a pickle..

really??? i called them today and they said they were still reviewing housing applications but i called them at 9 am…so i guess they filled up today then??? crap this sucks :(

What’s everyone think about Troy East?
I’ve got a guy who’s looking to opt out of his housing contract.

Troy East was one of my top picks, I would say get it if you can, seems great. One of the closer places to campus too.

I had to just go for Marks Tower, but I’ll take what I can get!

kevl-where exactly is marks tower? i know where new/north/birnkrant, trojan/radisson, fluor/webb and parkside are, but where is marks?!

ps-see y’all at T1 tomorrow! IT’S FINALLY HERE! :D

marks is right next to trojan

hey, do all of you know who you’re gonna room with? I’m pretty worried about getting housing! blah.

I have no clue who my roommate is. I wonder when they send out all that info.

I just reviewed my transfer credit report and it seems that none of my spring courses were factored in.

When I go to orientation, will this change at all?

By the way guys, how was orientation?! (once you get back of course)

kevl89- It should take a while for them to credit the new courses. I haven’t even sent in my final grades yet, they just recently came out and I was running around trying to get ready for orientation.

ORIENTATION WAS AWESOME.

i love my department and my transfer class. theatre is where it’s at!

OMG- now I know what they mean by University of Spoiled Children. There were only like 10-13 people in my IR group with my advisor registering for classes. There were these two girls who RUDELY interrupted everyone and snapped at the advisor like she was some kind of waitress or something and were expressing their frustration with the online system out loud like, “UGH, IT’S NOT WORKING!!” … moaning like little 2 year olds. Yelling out at the advisor and interrupting her while she was helping other students. One girl yells out in the computer lab loud as hell, “DOES ANYONE KNOW IF BLAHBLAH IS A GOOD TEACHER???” Umm… yeah. We would TOTALLY know that as new transfer students. One of the girls started crying and having a nervous break down because she couldn’t get one of the classes she wanted. **? HI! How old are you?! And the whole time they were being extra loud like, “OHHHH MY GOD, LIKE, WE SHOULD TOTALLY TAKE THE SCIENCE OF HAPPINESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!” She was hogging the advisor the WHOLE time with her nervous breakdown so it took me like 2 hours to register for classes. Those two were friends (not surprisingly). I was disgusted by their behavior! Not kidding. Fing brats. I could tell my advisor was losing her patience…

Oh well, two little spoiled brats will not ruin my orientation experience!

P.S. Thanks for letting me rant. Hahaha.

a la idioteque- Geez. That’s a bummer, everyone I met was really nice [and well behaved and delightfully spirited]. I’m really excited to move in now. :)

YES - oh my god. Besides one class I couldn’t enroll in, I’m sooo excited to start classes! I wish I were moving in so I could meet more people, but I guess I’ll just have to try extra hard :)

Those two girls didn’t want to be there anyway. They were IR global business and didn’t get into Marshall, and they were trying to transfer in. So they were ****ed because a lot of the Marshall classes were full.

Did you meet anyone from here WOT? I only met you and ksbr… but that doesn’t really count because I already knew you two haha.

idioteque-duuuuuude i can’t believe how childish they were! when you sent me that BBM i was like “did we let in a bunch of 4 year olds?” i’m sorry that it took you so long :(

meanwhile, my cute little group of theatre transfers instantly bonded and we sat together ASAP. i had to leave really quickly so i didn’t get to enjoy the student services fair at VKC after registration but i’m happy that i got the classes i wanted (minus a couple that need D-clearance so hopefully as soon as that happens i can drop this one class i’m in and enroll in one of the others!)

let’s see…who did i meet today…obv idioteque (lol we’ve known each other for like, two years), i saw WOT and waved at the fancy lunch, and i met solomonm very early this morning, so hi! glad to see/meet y’all!

I hung out with trojangirlie11 most of the day hehe. Roomie, woot! And a couple of other people recognized me from facebook and said hi. :)

I think it’s safe to say that the lunch meeting was a bust but they way it was structured didn’t allow for the meeting. Bummer. Oh well, hopefully we can arrange something later during Welcome Week when everything is a tad more calmed down.

a la idiotique … sorry to hear abt ur dreadful experience.

but u do realize u need a lot of guts to make a scene! bravo to those lasses! lol!
