<p>hah yah sorry ksbr. I was pretty out of it this morning. Didn’t actually go to bed last night (this morning) so it’s been a pretty long day. I felt like I was 80 years old with dimensia just aimlessly wandering around most of the day. </p>
<p>I got pretty screwed over registering for classes. Everything that could go wrong did hah. For some reason the system was blocking me from taking my calculus class which took about an hour to sort out and then I found out that Marshall pretty much bars any students not currently in Marshall’s program from taking BUAD classes (aside from accounting) which is pretty moronic considering they expect you to catch up on your own to even enter… But ended up with a schedule and looks like I can finish on time so all is well.</p>
<p>Surprisingly met a lot of people who transferred from University of Arizona and ASU…</p>
<p>I was pretty stoked when the band played the kids aren’t alright. Used to be my favorite song when I was younger. It was like it was meant to be hah</p>
<p>solomonm- What sucks is that so many professors are missing & then the uscsenate course guide was taken down. wth? I had to rely on the few bootleg myspace reviews by logging in through my sis’s account and pretty much the opinions of a couple of current students. :/</p>
<p>WOT/solomon-yeah, i am having some issues with looking up a couple of my profs, namely the GE ones (i know all about are the theatre ones and from what i hear, they’re all awesome) because there is only maybe one or two reviews from like, a few years ago. sooooo i’m just going to dive in headfirst!</p>
<p>That dude who was talking about USC dinning was speaking too fast for me. As if he was an auctioneer. </p>
<p>What I was surprised was by the diversity. I thought the school was going to be quite homogeneous, I was quite mistaken, I think that’s what I loved the most about it. </p>
<p>A lot of people were flipping out once they saw their TCR because they all were sophomore or freshmen level, even though they were technically a junior or sophomore. I am happy that I can petition for a lot more classes than expected. PHEW!</p>
<p>Is anyone on this board still homeless like me? I’ve given up on the trojan housing, since most people have assignments already. What should I do?!</p>
<p>sunsetsam-haha me and my major group all sat together during the student services seminar and kind of mocked the whole thing and pointed out discrepancies. it was awesome. i also agree on the diversity-my OA group had a diverse group of ages and backgrounds and majors, so it was nice not seeing the stereotypical “types” one expects to see. my TCR was hilarious in that i had 83.3 units with 64 transferred in…with “freshman” as my class level. uhkay??? i found orientation helpful. my mom didn’t go to half of the things though LOL.</p>
<p>so 2nd orientation session is filled up… i guess i gotta go to the third orientation session. first no housing, now i’m gonna get left with the worst classes. why do they even let people in late june?</p>
<p>Yeh!!! i finally got a room for the 2nd time @ Parkside…this time I asked them a re-assignment @ MUSLIM floor…</p>
<p>ivc08transfer - sorry to hear that. Its weird. Coz they not only assigned me a room within like 7 days but they processed my re-assignment within 7 days as well.</p>

<p>ivc08transfer- I’m sorry to hear that. I spoke to the guy @ the housing office and he said my reassignment should be processed shortly so <em>score</em> I hope I get upgraded to the housing I wanted. Maybe some people will turn down their assignment and you can get it?</p>
<p>i know a few people have turned down housing (idioteque was one that i know of) due to location/pricing, so hopefully things will work themselves out?</p>
<p>meanwhile, since i’m living at home…i’m splurging for the gold parking pass.</p>
<p>ksbr27- lol. My parents tried to bribe me with a car so that I’d stay home. I don’t even drive. But I think they’re calming down a bit since the first thing they asked when I got back from orientation was…</p>
<p>Mom: “OMG, tell me about the trams? What times do they run? How does campus cruiser work? What about the DPS? Give me the numbers NOW! You have to call me every night or I’ll report you missing.”</p>
<p>Dad: “How much are the trams? How much is x,y,z? You say it’s free? Take a campus cruiser back everyday then.” lol, as for my mom, yes, I bet she would. -_______-</p>
<p>Yeah it is. I got an e-mail saying they are low on housing and that their putting transfers in residence halls. I really don’t want to live in a hotel especially because it’s on the pricey side. I dunno if I should still do the reassignment..</p>
