USC Admitted Transfer Students 2008

I guess you could try but if you really want to secure a spot for housing and have the convenience of paying just the one bill then go for it. If not, get on the phone or do some searches to try to find housing. :/

does anybody know anything about the chez ronee apartments??? it’s off campus housing but apparently it is really close to campus. i found a girl who is looking to give up her lease and found me and two other people, and is stilll looking for a third. it’s $900 a month rent and i can give you more info on it or give you her contact info if you are interested. but i was wondering if anybody could tell me a little more because i really have no idea about USC houing locations, stereotypes, etc. thank you!!!

strawberry jam–when did you send in your housing app??? i need to figure this all out asap :(

SO… who’s ready to get in shape for fall semester?! Take PHED106 with me on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8am and get in shape and make a new friend (i.e. ME) while doing it! Only 1 unit. (Remember, tuition stays the same past 12 units…)

Come on, someone!

I dunno a friend I knew from high school just asked me to be her roommate. whew. So I might be saved..HOPEFULLY.

hah… maybe if it wasn’t at 8 am

where do you go to look up those 1-2 unit classes?

a la idioteque- lol. The only class I’m taking that early is a discussion on fridays bc I want an early start on the weekends. :p

yay! i can now write in this thread without feeling bad. and i totally dont know what to say…

idioteque-you seriously told me to sign up for an 8am class?! hahahaha I can’t believe you forgot my cardinal rule-8am class will never be an option! ;)

I am new to this thread…
so happy that i can join here!!!

Anyone else taking $17000 in loans to attend USC with an EFC of Zero?

Would an acceptee have to enroll before they applied for housing? Maybe not? Is it too late to hope for housing at this point?

wing-i believe so. you need to put down the deposit before applying for housing, i believe. someone help me out here?

Is there any way to know if housing is full? Contact only?

whats everyone schedule like and how many credits are you taking?

I know I’m a little delayed, but I just wanted to say that I had a great time at orientation on 7-1. It was great to spot some people from here and get further acclimated to USC. The people at Thornton were great and it was cool to meet other MI majors. Should be a fun semester!

I just bought a parking permit… I’m going to park in PSD, woo! $400 though… god. And my parents thought they were saving money by making me commute from home! Gas will be at least another $400/month.

So far my sched looks like this…

ANTH 200Lg The Origins of Humanity (4 units)
IR 210 International Relations: Introductory Analysis (4 units)
POSC 366 Terrorism and Genocide (4 units)

PHED 106A Physical Conditioning (1 unit)
PHED 110A Swimming (1 unit)

I’m still going to sign up for French 300 but I haven’t been able to yet because I need to take the placement test! I’m excited about the PE classes! Haha. Time to get back into shape after a haaaaard Spring '08 semester!

idioteque-I’M PARKING IN D TOO. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH I LOVE IT SON.

well i’m techically taking 15 units, but right now i’m planning on dropping this one elective i’m enrolled in and trying for two others (one needs instructor clearance, the other needs department clearance pending a transfer credit petition) i’m DEFINITELY taking:
THTR 125-text studies for production
POSC 130g-law, politics, and public policy
GEOG 265Lg-the water planet

yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!
