USC Admitted Transfer Students 2009

it’s not necessary to go to orientation just tell them and they’ll send you a materials packet

anyone hear from housing yet or know how long it’ll take?

hey you guys, congrats to all you new trojans!

i just received my package today, and apart from being really excited, I was a little confused about the contents of my package: There were a bunch of Freshman 2009 packets in my folder…lol

I am transfering as a sophmore…or at least i thought so…

this happen to anyone else?

Soph***o***more.

chaly - I’m gone all of July so I asked and they said I could go during the international student day which is like a week before the semester starts…

@ anyone - don’t we have to pay for orientation regardless if we go or not??

mohamed- i think someone previously said that they don’t have transfer packets because it would cost too much to make separate booklets for the transfers and freshmen. don’t worry about it. the information is the same

grey- in 10th grade, someone wrote all over the whiteboard “SOPHMORES RULE!” and then our history teacher lectured us about learning how to spell SOPH O MORE before you start writing stuff like that all over the place.

my mind never ceases to be blown by some of the simple grammatical mistakes top students in the country make… lol

lol thanks zamela…

i write this posts quickly…sheesh. lol

Do I hear a dial tone? Because orientation session T2 is going to be off the hooook!!! Haha that was kind of lame and stolen from ‘Weeds’ but seriously, a lot of you should come to the second session so we can get an early start on meeting each other and getting belligerently hammered  and pizza!

where do we sign up for orientation?

its on the deposit site i thought?

Is the July 1 orientation all booked or are you guys just picking July 10 because it’s a Friday?

mm… If i end up going to T2, i think i might go by myself. If not, I’ll be going to the international one…

BTW, funny sophomore story: when I was a junior in high school, for homecoming week the sophomores tagged our cars writing SOPHMORES RULE! ahha! They got detentions, and looked like idiots in front of the entire school lol.

@nonstopskratchin -regarding your question:

Mandatory Orientation Fee

All new students are assessed a one-time mandatory orientation fee in their first semester of enrollment, in addition to tuition charges and other fees. The mandatory orientation fee is separate from the orientation session fee and covers special services and programs for new students, including fall welcome activities, Discover ’SC, extended orientation events and university publications. This fee is included in the estimated cost of attendance that the Financial Aid Office uses to determine financial aid eligibility. It is not refundable. Please do not include this fee with your orientation session fee payment.

Fees are based on the following:

Undergraduate students: $150
Graduate students: $35

I’m so lonely… lol

Hi chaly!

I’m so psyched I hope my package comes today. It probably won’t though when I called at 2 yesterday it had not even been sent out yet

chaly, we suffer the same problem…

idk if i can fly 3000 miles to cali for a 2 day orientation, fly 3000 miles back, and then fly 3000 miles a month later…

including plane ticket + hotel + orientation fees and such, it would cost me about 1000$…

:( :(

i think ppl who live in LA wid room should host ppl for transfer orientation… yeahh save hotel fees and meet someone new…

yeah… i have a friend in Chatsworth and my great uncle lives in Long beach, so I’m thinking I have a place to stay. I emailed USC orientation and asked if I could go to the international one. That’s only one week before school.

Btw, did you guys already apply for housing?

Zirc…we can just go on our limo road trip, with the rest of the east coast admitted students, go to the international orientation, hijack the limo and stay in it until housing opens. sound like a plan? lol

OH YEAH! the limo! hahahahhahahaa
sounds like a good plan ;)
