to whoever sent in their financial aid appeals, where did you send them/how (in letter form or e-mail)? what is recommended??

@chaly87
i heard you sent in an appeal. how did you go about doing so and who did you send it to
(as in what specific address or email address did you send it to)???

klim, see the other thread. I responded there.

hey, yeah thanK so much!@ i read it! but i asked another question… hahah so if you could chek that, i would reall appreciate it!

@ Zamela and Chaly87: I decided to share a two-bedroom appartment with my bf in downtown LA … now I gotta worried about learning how to drive, getting a car and also the parking issue since I really really want my own room. But we would have been good roommates though, chaly. The appartment’s name is Bunkerhill towers and 7 mins driving to campus …

Klim3690: I saw someone else answer your question. Sorry I was out of town for the weekend. It was nice to get away from USC stress though :)

And Yuta, the lady at housing told me that our roommates now will probably not be our roommates for later because of reassignments. So maybe we wouldn’t have been rommies after all…Im glad you found somewhere to stay though :)

And you guys have to tell me how orientation goes! I still don’t know if I should go to the international one, or not go at all…

@ Chaly87: If you go to the international one, we’ll probably meet ^^ … Why is the international one cheaper though it’s a two-day session?

my orientation is on wednesday, i’m getting nervous!

wow thats sooo awesome :D:D enjoy it! :D

and hey! take pics and maybe make a video of the coolest stuff you find ? then post it on facebook or something(and add me as a friend ;p)! i wanna see! but i have to wait until august 19! sweden -> LA is a long(+ expensive =/) flight :p

Hey everyone, I went to USC today to check out exactly where Sierra apartments are. It’s actually a much closer walk than I thought it was, and it’s still very much feels like a college town farther down Hoover St, which is where it is. You need a key to get into the elevators so I couldnt really look around inside, but I will say it’s rather shabby looking from the outside. Just your standard stucco gray apartment color. There is a tram stop right in front of the building though, and it is in a rather quiet side street along with a few fraternity and sorority houses. Hope this helps :]

^glad to hear. :D

UNC Chapel Hill offered me the pretties apartment for housing!!!
They expect my efc to be around 3,000 AND they threw in a free laptop…

USC better give me reeaal good financial aid…because I’m getting confused as to where I really wanna go… :(

ns89:

im planning on taking a lot of pictures. (:

if anyone wants to see the pictures, just add me on fb. my page is Redirecting...

greetings from orientation!

so far I checked in, ate breakfast, and took a quick tour of campus.

checkin in is pretty straight forward. while checking in they give you a badge, class catalog, student handbook, and the schedule for the day. right after checking in you walk down to bovard administration building for breakfast. they have krispy kreme donuts, muffins, bananas, bagels, and the standard beverages. bovard is also where you meet up for a tour of campus. they break it down according to major. the tour is relatively quick and not that informing. I’m currently waiting for the next activity, the university welcome, and that starts in 20 min. I took some pictures of the buildings and scenery for those that haven’t seen the school. I also took pictures of the catalog and the handbook to show the massiveness of them. tell you guys more later.

yott,
How exciting!! Thanks for the updates – keep us posted! :D

btw, I ‘friended’ you on facebook.

just went through two presentations. the first one was a welcome to USC presentation. It was kinda boring and wanted to fall asleep. the second presentation was split in groups according to major/college. that one explained what’s expected academically as well as provided information on oversea study and researching. I’m about to sit through another presentation about student services. I’m sooo hungry and sleepy. lunch is at 1 and I can’t wait.
