I guess they might choose an SGR applicant over one that does not match admission conditions?

possibly… that could be true.

Zamela, how long did it take for your STARS to get updated with your transfer courses? I haven’t sent my second semester transcript in yet, but was your first semester’s up and everything? I don’t have anything under it yet…

my mom faxed my transfer credit report to me on May 7th, so it took about 3 weeks after i received my admissions package. all of my courses are listed on it except for spring 2009, which i requested a week ago.

yelnats - i have the same problem and im going to marshall how strict are they going to be ?

Yelnats, did you give your counselor your exact spring GPA and, if so, do you mind sharing it? My son just found out his final spring GPA… it is 3.438! The idea of his admission being revoked for a .062 GPA difference is just too heartbreaking to bear!

maybe you guys could petition by sending in a letter explaining why you want to go, why you didn’t get the grades, or you could state that you are taking summer courses to boost the gpa…

gxgal7, did your son get accepted to marshall ?

coh, no, he was accepted as undeclared as a sophomore.

i have not sent any grade in yet, bcause i end in mid june. so i still hve hope of getting my grades up. i’ll just post what my counselor told me–
“If your GPA drops below a 3.5 for this semester it is likely that your admission will be revoked; instances in which students fail to meet the conditions of their admission will be reviewed individually by the Director of Admission…My best advice to you is to study hard these remaining few weeks of class and make sure that you maintain that 3.5 GPA. We admitted you with those conditions because we were confident that you would be able to handle the workload and meet the conditions; I’m hopeful that you will succeed.” maybe you should try calling them to amke sure?

so do we send the spring grades to the director of admission or to the general office of admission?

Hey i got accepted a couple weeks ago and just enrolled… what are you guys thinking about for housing? I can’t decide whether or not I want to try to live on campus or just craigslist a roommate off campus

Eriksudd, congrats man! im trying to get on campus housing because it’d be easier for me to get used to everything, especially since im from out of state. I applied for the some dorms, but im pretty sure the ones i applied for are filled already… but ill take whatever i get on campus

coh- you probably should just send it to the general office and that will be fine.

eriksudd- congratulations. i’m applying for the USC-owned housing on the housing application. i’ve been helping my boyfriend try to look for off-campus housing (non-USC owned) and it’s been hell. everything is already taken or really crappy or far away. i’d suggest filling out that application ASAP.

I wonder when we’ll find out about our housing assignments…

Also, if you check, they’ve updated financial aid

yeah i saw thatt!

i’m going to be in debt after i graduate. haha. :o

How do you guys check the transfer credits checklist? I wonder if I have to put down the commitment deposit before seeing it? I’m still waiting for my bf’s decision but I’m worried that no more USC owned housing will be available by then.

checklist? are you talking about the Transfer Credit Report?

I don’t know if this question has been answered yet, but do we need to send in our SIR/deposit by the two-week mark following our acceptance? I’m confused and having a hard time deciding whether or not to leave UCSD.

of admission.
