USC Admitted Transfer Students 2009

Thanks, zamela (:

can anyone log into OASIS? or just current and accepted students? im referring to the OASIS link from the main website/students under quick links: OASIS

anyone can log into that dothedo. :o

so i submitted my deposit a week ago, and still no email. i cant sign up for orientation yet!! haha

Eh, another question…

I know most people want it the other way around (switching out of CLAS into a specific department), but can I switch out of Viterbi and into CLAS? After my freshman year, I’ve switched out of engineering and into Chemistry at UCSD (current school), and I’d like to do the same at SC.

A lot of you had scary conditions of admission. :open_mouth:
How did they determine them? I don’t have any o_o

I’m sure it’s easy enough to do that Radiance; especially since it’s going from a specialized school into a more general one…if it were the other way around it would be more difficult…

I don’t know how they determined the conditions…I only had vague ones too. :)

Thank youu
Why is this decision so hard :(

well what were the reasons you applied to USC in the first place? for yourself or for your dad?

and if you are just hesitant to let go of what’s in san diego, you’ll find those things at USC too…good friends and what not. and just as pretty weather…

USC has been my dream school since I was little (perhaps because of my dad’s influence) but besides that, I can’t let go of SD because of their amazing science program.

well, med-schools don’t really care about the undergrad school you’re coming from, just about the grades you earned and the things you accomplished there. If you would be happier at USC socially, you would probably be more inclined to take more active leadership roles and they probably provide more opportunities for you to volunteer in the surrounding areas and what not. I think you should go to USC, it’s a once in a life time opportunity!!! :D

so i just got the email saying i can sign up for orientation. but i had to create an email/username first. i did that, and it said i had to wait 24 hours until the system is updated. =( i guess i’ll sign up for orientation tmr. haha
btw…is it bad that I logged into my email address if it said i had to wait 24 hours?

no…it’s not bad. Once I made mine, I was just staring at the screen lol! I just signed up for orientation today too. :)

I noticed a lot of you guys have horrible conditions of admission. I wonder why. I got let off really easy.

FutureGirl, what year are you coming in as and what’s your current GPA?

I think most of us have conditions of admissions because we are freshman with under 30 credits and they want to make sure we didn’t just have one fluke of a good semester.

me neither, I didn’t have any conditional acceptance and I’m currently taking only one super easy course, intro to Astro this quarter. No wonder they didn’t ask for SGR 'cos it’d result in a 4.0

shwayzee, I’m a freshman with less than 30 units and I don’t have ANY conditions except to avoid behavioral misconduct & they have to verify my grades with official transcripts. D:

My GPA is somewhere between a 3.6 and 3.7. I’m currently a sophomore, but it’ll change (I hope) after sending my final transcript with this Spring’s grades. I’m looking at the conditions and I’m like !!! Crazy.

Status update for me! :X

Undergraduate Application (Part II, Fall 2009)
