USC-Annenberg or UCLA's Communication Studies?

Which is better for communication studies, UCLA or USC (Annenberg)?

I know this is a USC thread, but try to be honest please. UCLA's Comm Studies is the hardest major to transfer to, (less than 10% ever year) but I don't understand why people like it so much. I'm a business major and applied to Marshall and I applied to UCLA for Comm Studies just b/c I thought it would help me with PR or Marketing when I get my MBA. But how well does Annenberg compare to UCLA's Comm studies?

i think its pretty well accepted that annenberg’s communication program is better than uclas. mostly, i think it has to do with the connections that usc has in the industry. also, public relations is not a major at most other universities in the nation, so that is pretty unique to annenberg and i view the small class size of usc as a huge plus, but that totally depends on the person.

I agree with speakmusic14.

Although UCLA may be slightly higher ranked OVERALL than USC, its Comm program is nowhere near USC’s program. Coming from someone who has heavily researched both schools, the fact that USC has such close ties to media companies in the area is a huge advantage. I feel that you would be more likely to procure a job right out of college if you went to USC.

Also, if you’re looking to go into business, USC is even better. Isn’t Marshall ranked higher than UCLA’s school of business as well? I know that rankings aren’t everything but if you’re looking at Business AND Comm then USC is hard to beat.
